Monday Merry Go Round

1st of all, did you watch the Brooks and Dunn tribute?  Absolutely awesome, with standout performances by Carrie Underwood, Sugarland, George Strait, Lady A, and others...best of night goes to Sugarland....Jennifer Nettles and what's his name did a spectacular version "where I drank my first beer"...I remember mine...got soooo sick with heel marks all over the wall...and didn't touch the stuff for a year after...
2nd...there ain't no way the Lakers lose a game to Los Suns in a 3 or 5 game series the way they did last night...looooong and boooring...
3rd....the Padres win another series, this time in Seattle....Matt Latos continues his domination of purnt near everyone as he continues his climb to the elite status of the NL pitchers...day off today as we get ready for a St Louie invasion...
4th...poor Mike Brown, got axed from the coaching job at the Cleve Cavs...it's a last ditch effort to keep LeBron there...the best record in the NBA and he gets the heave ho...it was the Nets the worst, just wait for the Cavs in their free fall next season...let's see, the Mav's goofy owner, Mark Cuban, gets fined $100,000 for saying LeBron would be a good fit in Dallas, as well as anywhere...so does Prez O get fined for saying James would be a good fit in Chi-town?
5th...with all the $ the oil companies make, why don't they ever fess up to the mistakes they make?  in lieu of that, they head to court...leave it to litigation...and figure they will save in the long run if they keep contesting all the rulings that the courts put on them....a racket with the lawyers...so you think our judicial system is good, huh...
6th...the new version of the Bachelorette starts tonight with Ali doing the plucking...she is soooo lucky she didn't end up with Jake...well, I think so...doesn't necessarily mean she is better off with whomever she picks in this season...but is she going to jump up in their arms as the shows get close to the end?  All seems so cheesy to me...
7th...Dancing finals tonight...it always ends up with which pro gets the best rendition of the free lance dance...soooooo, figure the odds favor the Pussy Cat as Derek has the most creativity...long shot for Max...
8th...and just why would you be hiking in Iran?

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
