Fall Back


Back?...back in the election of '18 in Californeeeiiia....statewide vote, mind ya...the public chose to have yearlong daylight savings time...alas, the STATE LEGISLATURE thought otherwise...and have yet to pass it into law...well, their part of it...it's one of them 2/3rds vote thangers... is this a political issue?...weird huh...nevertheless, we are falling back...like the rest of you...of course, I am up an hour behind, now...or is that ahead?...I dunno...

I spent most of the day, yesterday...doing 2 things...betting on the Breeders Cup, and watching collegiate football...yes, I hit 4 races and yes, I made scratch...wonder if I should have them send me a check?...and...woah be the Beavers...losing to Colorado...who were absolutely inept against Oregon the week prior...guess that is college football...the other Oregon team...had a donnybrook (naturally) with their arch enemies, the Dawgs...in a driving rain storm...withstood a miserable start and then...rode the defense to the W...not sure what the Wash coach was thinking at the 2 minute mark of the final stanza...but it did backfire big time...Mich St looked vulnerable and lost to Purdue...as did Wake Forest...Cincy survived on an absolutely controversial call at the end...SDSU won, but oh my, their O is spotty at best...

The Lake Show...talk about miserable...James is out...the Brow got lifted in the 1st...and that left the scoring to the self-centered, uncoachable, Russ Westbrook...who was like 1 fer 13 from the field...does a bull in a china shop fit?...as the Blazers mauled 'em...in PDX...laughable...seriously...there are 2 guys in the league that I would NOT coach...Russ and Kyrie (kind of on the Nets)...nope. wouldn't do it...

Climate change...there are some of you out there, that consider this hogwash...wowser...sometimes it is easier to actually see the affects...effects?...we do every time we go to Maui...stay at the same hotel, and the beach there, well, is no longer...a video of the changes in that island has been on the tele recently...the shoreline keeps moving inland...just cuz?...ahem, but ONE example...

There is this one condo, kitty corner from us, that never ever turns off their TV...never...ever...wonder why?...a quirk?...needs it for company?...lost the remote?...the only light in the house?...

Which reminds me of another Seinfeld...when Jerry referred to his condo, apartment, or whatever it is, as his HOUSE!...does that qualify?...hmmm, the definition for a HOUSE is 'a building for human habitation, especially one that is lived in by a family or small group of people.'...if you live by yourself, does that qualify?...seems ambiguous...

Out of the blue, a writer asked the Q, "where is Jared Kirshner?"...the natural response, is with the Princess...but, the other is, who cares?...as long as he is not squatting in the White House...

When Aaron Rodgers was in his forever monologue as to why he is not vaccinated...he referred to the WOKE MOB...dude, it means 'conscious' and 'aware'...yes, people are aware of what you are doing, er, not doing...

The New York City Marathon is today...I can't run 2 blocks...of course, I am of age, that I shouldn't....well, that is what I say...based on absolutely NOTHING...

More stuff on the shooting in Cancun...at the Hyatt Regency...a rival gang came from the ocean, 16 of them...killing 2 rivals...then, getting back onto their boat and departing...security?...

Talking shooting, well assassination attempt...via a drone...on the Iraqi PM...which surprised me...they have one?...thought that the 'country' was all split up?...

Time for my two upset specials that one could gander at...perhaps laugh...wonder why the Horse would go that way...in the NFL...KC giving 7 against the Rodgers less Pack...will be a blow out...the Browns getting 2 1/2 against the Bengals...take Cleve and the points...there you go...

Maybe I can get back to bed and get that hour I missed...

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
