Turkey


Tradition?...is that what the center piece of YOUR Thanksgiving is?...the TURKEY?...used to be...as the parents past on...sadly...we have lost most of the concept of family gatherings...is this normal?...I dunno, as the times have changed, we have been stuck in the earlier years...our earlier years...commentary?...I will say, that when we were shopping at Von's yesterday, I have never seen a greater amount of turkey breasts for sale...than ever before...not the whole turkey, but just the breast...hmmm, which kind of leads me into the query of the day...holding on to the turkey, but NOT the large gatherings...perhaps, it has to do with the Covid 19...perhaps...ah, Von's is the same as Safeway, the name in other parts of the country...

This is Veterans Day...as we the people, honor those who served in the armed services for the safety of our land...we thank you...why isn't this on a Friday or Monday, to get the day off?...c'mon...er, make it a 4 day 'weekend'...yea, that works...

This televised Kyle Rittenhouse case...already a name...which I despise...that it is getting airwaves...too much...'victims"...can't be used...can 'vigilante'?...or worse?...keep it in the court room...and not on the pixels...

I chose to watch Survivor over the CMA's...looks like Chris Stapleton was a big winner...man, I just don't get it...oh well, whatever floats that boat...but Survivor, it is one great production...

Maybe I am making a big mistake...it's gonna be 80+ today and wildly sunny, here in the south SoCal...and 50 something in the PNW and...raining...ha ha...just kidding...I am looking forward to it...great friends, Duck football, this is a good thang...

BTW, the UO Ducks moved into 3rd in the BSBCS poll...if they can win out, they will be in the playoffs...starts with the Cougs Saturday...

Alas, the FIRST XMAS TREE is UP!...kitty corner building from us...I have this pix for ya...as I embark into the land of the Douglas fir...


Whenever I travel, I print out a LIST...the list...which is constantly changing...so I can check off thangs I have to pack, carry, or turn off...for the 1st time ever, using flight tix via the iPhone...normally, Dr Rick, I print them out...Alaska now has boarding sections...what is this?...I am a B...whatever that means...and TSA Pre Check...

This is outta nowhere...but in the NBA, the shooting percentages are down...better D?...maybe...but I think the real reason is?...they changed basketballs...too slick...

I do like the show 'Big Brother'...but dang it all, they are gonna have a month long 'Celebrity' one...most likely the peops that inhabit the dancing shows, the reality 'hits', and the 'celebrities' who need not only cash but exposure...don't tell me Chris Christie is on it...don't do that...

House Rep (?) Gosar of Arizona...what a piece...posted an edited animated video that depicts him killing House Rep Ocasio-Cortez and attacking Prez Biden...is this not treason?...can the House vote him out?...what are the rules?...some censure should come his way...

A fix it up show...based in Mississippi...where a couple redoes a home in that state, for a buyer...after all costs, and the house looking mahvelous...it rarely exceeds $300,000....!!!...what is wrong living in Mississippi?...why so cheap?...of course, compared to most of Cali, everything seems cheap...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
