Skipping and Flipping

The ever present danger zone, of the southern border of the United States of America...continues to dominate the mind of Captain Chaos...can't get his new Trump Wall on the agenda...has continually been frustrated over the separation of families that have crossed over...and does what he always does...fires whoever is in charge...get 'er done...

The lady, Kirstjen Nielsen, had a sit down with Donny...comes out of it, and announces that she is resigning...hmmm, I guess that is NOT a firing....if you are keeping track of the numbers...Director of Homeland Security...former, that is...who is next?...rumors abound it may be a bloke who is more 'aggressive'...exactly what we need, right Doc?...

You know who made that song famous, 'Cherry Pie?'...none other than the duo, Skip and Flip...of course, you knew that...1959...ha ha...these dudes were quiet the pair...their real names were Clyde Battin (Skip) and Gary Paxton (Flip)...they both later on, worked as solo artists and producers...both dealt with the Byrds...but, Flip, er, Paxton, had a tad bit more success with a couple of big hits...see if you recall these, "Alley Oop' and 'The Monster Mash'...the latter the humongous hit for Bobby Boris Pickett....as years went on, Paxton (Flip) ventured into gospel music...as he was connected (?) to the one and only, Tammy Faye Bakker...and now, you are much more educated about...well, trivia...

The Baylor Bears gals won their version of the Big Dance...escaping free throws at the buzzer to win a close one, duh...just hate to see the miss of FT to lose a game...hangs on forever...over Notre Dame...tonight, its the dudes turn...Virginia and Texas Tech...should be a brawl at the bucket...not my style and I may pass...something tells me a lack of a call, may be the diff...

This week is the epitome of all golf for the blokes...The Masters...shoot, I think the ladies stop and watch it, too...Augusta...this is the Super Bowl for this sport...the winner, wore the green jacket everywhere once won...at least Sergio and Pat Reed did, the past 2 years...oddly enough, at the same time...the exact opposite of the best in the World at that game, the worst...play in Borrego Springs for the Bozo's Crown...yup, that's my group...ah, my prep yesterday, was the best I have swung it...like in years...mind you, I did not say...scored...but the swing, yes...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
