The Masters

Taking over the weekend in the golf world...The Masters...the field is bunched at the top, with so many 'stars' there...Koepka, DJ, Ian, Scott, Lefty, Francisco, Day, Rahm, Harding (?), and of course, the sentimental fav of them all, Tiger...all lurking...today is called 'moving day'...in this T of T's, every hole is like that...figure that they will get some thunderstorms...both days...so, do I have a prediction for ya?...nope...pictured here is the King...

It's all about the shaping of shots...escaping the bunkers...staying out of the creeks...and making PUTTS!...hmmm, sort of sounds like all golf course strategies...ha ha...but, this one is the crown prince of them all...if you are a Master's winner, you are gold...forever...

CBS will do the honors for the last two days...ESPN carried it the first two...hmmm, does CBS own ESPN?...in this day and age, of companies swallowing up others, it would not surprise moi...

The other thang going on...is the beginning of the ever lasting NBA Playoffs...I lurve hoops...but, the elongated season of theirs, is too much...yea, but I will watch some...especially the west ones...my favs?...the Warriors and the Blazers...you know that...my wish is that the Rockets get upset...just HATE their style of play...but my bet, would be on them to win it all...yessiree Bob...

Did catch up on the ACM Award Show...DVR'd it...Reba, Blake, Carrie, and Little Big Town were good...but, the rest?...egads, some mighty questionable talent...some were downright awful...Maren Morris was so off key, it was embarrassing...you know, we hear better sanging on Idol...it's all in the agents, who get these pseudo stars the gig...

How about them Padres!...another W in the desert...2-1...beating a pitcher that causes them fits...a curve ball bloke...as we are now 2 up in the west...what?...wake me up before I go go...'something's happening here, what it is ain't exactly clear'...

Odds and ENDS...

The LaLa Lakers just cleaned house...well, sort of...Magic quit...then HC Luke Walton did, too...the rumor is that the former coach of the Cavs, when LeBron was there...Tyron Lue, is in line...you see, James can do whatever he wants with him as HC....listen, kids, LeBron is on the down slide...the team is a MESS!...

Not sure how I feel about this...at the Masters...Zach Johnson, inadvertently swung and hit the ball...it traveled like 10 feet...no penalty...he got to replace the pelota and do it all over again...is that the same  if one putts?...accidentally nudges the ball in the practice swing?...of course, in his group was Matt Kuchar...isn't he always in the group that has controversy?...

Still in Augusta...Tiger, in the woods...ha ha...the rain had made the area a muddy pickle...he hit a terrific shot, as he and all his crowd, raced to see the result...one of his security dudes, running to protect him from his faithful, slipped into Tigers ankle...a near catastrophic moment...he was fine...the shot hit the green...and he made birdie...for youse in my age bracket, an 'Arnie type'...

Trump wants to name Ivanka as the World Bank leader from the USA, cuz she's good with numbers...I kid you not...

What is wrong with this?...our judicial system...Lori Laughlin...the star is going to be made an example of...the college bribing to get their kid in...rumors are that she may get 40 years in prison...40!...give me a break...there are so many more important matters out there than this...how about starting with the colleges who take the cash...or, who allow in, athletes with no grades to back their entrance...the list of stuff goes on and on...but prison?...c'mon, judges, get real...

Back to Trump...he figures if he sends the 'illegals' to democratic cities, he will show them...make the cities change their mind...and vote for Captain Chaos...in 2020...

$4.29 for a gallon of gas...thank you, Donny...your middle east stance is really working...can't you send Ivanka over there and fix this...you know, cuz she's good with numbers...

Jason Day, Master's hopeful, lamenting about his forever back pain...looked for support from his wife...as she told him, 'toughen up, I birthed 3 kids...you have no idea what pain is'....love that...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
