Hurricane Olivia!

Just a very calm morning, here in the hood...planned on spending most of it, not golfing...doing the set up for the annual trip to Paradise...Maui...dog grooming, packing, last minute needs for the excursion...normal stuff, for sure...and then...BOOM!...I was gandering at Facebook...reading the plights of different people...and noticed this...the Nolz were told to hunker down in place...you see, they are in Maui right now...

What?...hunker down?...ah ha...after my antenna went up, I saw what was the item...a Hurricane was heading towards the Islands...Olivia...category 1 at this time...and the expected date of arrival?...Tuesday nite or Wednesday...yup, we were flying into a bloody STORM!...so, the Horse started panicking...should we cancel?...maybe delay our arrival a few days?...is it too late to do this, without a whomping fine?...

Turns out...we were able to delay EVERYTHING!...lucky as the flights that we switched to, we could get the same type of upgraded seats...the Hotel rearranged the time, and the car rental, too...so fortunate...yup, kids we are on again...just pushed back a few days...

OK now...calm down...and let's go...

My fantasy football team took a hit yesterday...both of my QB's got injured in game 1...which is devastating...for them and ME!...however, one of them, Aaron Rodgers...has established himself in the Pro Football Gawds of all time...he was carted off in the first half with a knee injury...and yet...convinced their team doc (Green Bay Packers) to let him go back out and play the 2nd half...which he did...on ONE LEG!...and threw 3 touchdowns and the game winner in the last minute...to lead the Pack to an unbelievable win...I couldn't believe what I saw...like everyone watching the game...

That on again off again, Fed Ex T, is back on...to finish up the T...and establish the final 30 for the finally ending set of whatever they are playing...the early buzz?...Tiger has moved to 2 back of the leaders...you don't think, do ya?...naw...

Well, this delay gives me time to get the new Woodward book...'Fear'...you know I'm going to love and devour it...

One of my favorite things that I read this am...is that Trump is gonna write his own book, to contradict Woodwards...ha ha...not sure the bloke can read or write...he can Tweet...may be he should publish all of his Tweets in a hardbound...it surely may garner him a Purlitzer Prize...call it a 'Comedy of Errors'...I digress...

The Koch Bros are at again...using the Supreme Court's version of blind faith...they are establishing a new 'Super Pac' to funnel money into to get their candidates in...and the ones they don't want OUT!...and nobody knows where the money is coming from....yup, OUR Supreme Court did this...

There she is 'Miss America'...the gal from New York...this all done for the first time...without them parading in swim suits...yes, the Horse did watch some of the telecast on ABC...the hosts were bizarre...a far cry from Bert Parks...and the unbelievable 'talent' portion was horrid...that is the one part that they should cut out or revise...let's just say, if Simon was one of the judges, he would have said very nasty things...very nasty...

Sunday nite football had Carrie Underwood sing a new song for the entry...and there was scuttlebutt the fans didn't like it...well, count me one fan who LOVED it...as did the announcers for the game, and so did Hdcp Andy...there you go, a quorum...so, in the Horse poll, it was a success...

The new Nike ad...the company reports a 31% jump in sales due to it...right...who do you believe?...I tell ya, I have never seen so much polarization in this country as NOW...I think they are 'fake stats'...

Just calm down, Horse...calm down...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed...
