Duck Demons

Morning kids...well, all of us Duckee fans are in mourning...so to speak...as Arizona burst our bubble again...that's two years in a row...and exposed UO for what is real...

The Wildcats are mirror images of the Ducks...except...THEY DO IT BETTER!...same speed up O...cagey QB...that use their speed more...and they are innovative defensively...

Lets' start with the D...excuses abound about injuries...gosh, everyone has 'em...we have a new coordinator...that appears to be way below what is needed...I have seen all the games...and he doesn't make adjustments...in fact, he had an extended week to get ready for UA...and after half...the Wildcats did WHATEVER they wanted...

One of the best parts of the former head coach, and O coordinator, Chip Kelly, is that you just didn't know what he was going to call...not so with his successor...way too predictable...albeit, he has one of the best QBs in the land....but doesn't have the same aura in play calling...

The O line...the injury thing again...with some true freshmen in the mix...and the protection of the prized QB has been severely waning...as he has been brutalized by the Cougs and the Wildcats...unchartered waters for the last 10 seasons...

And the penalties on the special teams...seems like almost every punt or kickoff, we get the flag...wonder what % of plays we really do...has to be high...

New officials...couldn't recognize the stripes guys last night...and the call they made on the big defensive play in the last moments of the 4th Q...which cost the Ducks big time...celebration...which gave the Cats the ball inside the 10...in lieu of a FG attempt...my take...as a ref, tell the players to get off the field...it's like in hoops, when they tell the bigs to get out of the paint...crucial call...

Fact is that Arizona moves on....and undefeated...and that 23 point spread that I have been talking about, was an absolute joke...good luck to them...they deserved the W...

Finally...where is this Duck program heading?...my fear is that the coaching is way down...and frustrations may take over...is this a number 2 team in the nation?...nah, no way...never has been...and severe adjustments need to be made...I'm not sure this can be done with whom is running the show...prove all of us wrong, guys...

 You want your beisbol playoffs?...it's all about that today...and the KC win in game 1 versus the LA Angels was way cool...

Oh my...the Pack had a laugher over the Viks last eve...you know who is calling the plays for Minnesota?...none other than 2nd and 9 Norv (Turner)....as he did just that again...he was miserable here in SD...likewise last night...glad he's theirs...

And...where is the missing plane?....it isn't even talked about anymore...just vanished...in thin air...what an embarrassment...right?...so much for flying the friendly skies...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
