BSBCS

Of course you know my sentiments on the BCS (BS)...a mess of corruption that pits the inequity of money over common sense...that the collegiate presidents allow to continue so that they can save their positions...due to all the $ their schools collect from a bowl game...and their fear of losing that, if there is a playoff...not withstanding, the best game in our system now...the collegiate football...clean it up...
That's a long intro to what's what...in the AP the Ducks remain numero uno...but the BSBCS is done a different way...where the Auburn Tigers, fresh off a survival over LSU, leap frogged the quack to the top spot...hey, you can make a case for TCU, Boise St., MSU, and a few others...that's why a playoff would be the answer...not some lame poll...
OK, for the week, I was 9-1, only missing on the Okla/Mizzou game...the one I was hoping I'd miss...so overall, 30-10...not bad, huh...
The Bolts lost again..this time at home to NE...they made it interesting at the end...could have sent it to OT, but botched a FG and that was all she wrote...2-5 and fire Norv is imminent, I hope...the city is crying again today, that is raining...
Yesterday it was so nice, mid-70's and we got to play golf with the visiting Gahrs...have bike plans today...hope the weather clears up...over to Coronado via the ferry, and bike the beach...
Speaking of yesterday, got home in time to watch the end of the Chargers loss, and of course, the end of the Justin Timberlake PGA Tourney in Vegas...is JT a star?  Just what has he ever done?  Gone steady with Britney is the highlight I think...I digress...it ended with a 3 guy playoff...in the dark, and one of the desperadoes (Jonathan Byrd) knocked in a dramatic 204 yard hole in one to win it!  And it was so dim, he didn't see it happen, just heard the crowd cheer...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
