It's Time

It's time to make some moves with the Padres. Reeling and certainly not rocking should lead the new owners to make some major changes to this hapless group. I have seldom felt that changing a manager is the cure to fixing a broken down team...but in this case I say yes. Bud Black does not have the make up to shake up this mess of a MLB team...I'm relatively sure he is a nice guy, but this team needs drive...an ornery one who demands proper play. And that is not the only change...
The Kouzmanoff experiment is a bust. It's time to move Chase Headley to 3B and release Kouz...there will be no takers for him. He has shown that he is not a 3-6 position type hitter in this league, ie. hitting with players on, and his abysmal 1 HR and 8 RBI's so far this season represents such a conjecture.
Trade Brian Giles. There are those out there that would take on his salary and his potential. Even though he is struggling this year he will turn it around...get something for him now...preferably a pitcher...
Bring up Kyle Blanks. Move him to LF and have him learn on the fly...fact is he led the Pads in the spring and continues to hit in the minors...he would be a perfect cover for AGonzo and would add a huge lift to an anemic hitting attack...
Put Jodi Gerut in full time in CF and move Hairston to RF and stay with it! Hairston is bashing the ball and deserves the move...
Now for the pitching...have to find a set-up guy...in Meredith we are not there...maybe Adams is on the mend enough to take that spot over...
With the economy on the rebound, where corrections are being made, with the change of administration, with the change of personnel...the country's needs are being addressed...so can the Padres mirror the same model...
If it is done, the people will return...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
