Pigskin Pleasures

The bounce of the ball, so erratic with the shape of the football...the pigskin...are they still made of that?...NOPE!...the reality of it all...the ones used like for the elders...ha ha...are now made of cowhide...thus, the pigs have been saved...the lower levels use synthetic stuff...like rubber and the like...thing is, it was never made of pigskin...first it was the pig's bladder, covered by leather...then, in the late 1800's, it was rubber...then they covered it with leather...cow's...SO, the ball is either leather or vulcanized rubber...and now you know...it is all slang...

Another set of eye openers yesterday...the Ducks thoroughly handled the much higher ranked BYU guys...the Bevos mauled Montana St, chalking up 68!...USC beat Fresno and set up next week's match with OSU...Miami cane down to earth and got whacked by Texas A&M...the Dawgs won over Mich St, a very nice win...and UCLA survived over South (?) Alabama, in front of virtually no one at the Rose Bowl...

The Friars in another must win...and did so...2-0...and now is on the right track...keep it going, Pads...

Finally found a flaw in the new Modem/Wifi tower of COX...can't hook up the Wifi to the Sonos...Daffy Duck for about an hour...will tackle it again today...nothing is ever easy...you know the wires that are in the wall, hidden?...when you hook up the TV to the wall, you fit 'em in a hole...well, one of 'em, fell down...thus, today, have to find it...and snake it back up...

Snooki and son, still found a way to watch them Ducks in Ireland...via Youtube...a Guinness be had by the boys...and they were piggy with delight over the outcome...

Yes, we did snare tix to the Sara Evans Christmas Show in Pala...3rd row...ha ha...now, trying to get a room at the casino for the nite...perhaps, a meet and greet?...

What day is this for the Queen's funeral?...man, them Brits loved their Queen and their Monarchy...takes like 24 hours to see the casket...

Had a stupendous meal at Morton's last eve...the 1st of two celebratory dinners planned...just like JLo and Ben...so fun to people watch, as we had the best seat in the house...not that I wasn't looking at Boss the whole nite...

Our money man, JJ, heard my plea...tried to find an Oktoberfest mug...and they were sold out!...he PROMISES next year...lurve them mugs...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
