Game 1...goes to the Bums


It was a fun, entertaining first game of the series...until it wasn't...the mighty Padres had ample opportunities to win it in OT...with the ludicrous rule used for extra innings games...start with a bloke on 2nd...we STILL couldn't get the run in...thus, in the Horse's eyes, didn't deserve the W...might we thought of a bunt with but one out, and the winning run on 3rd?...two innings in a row?...then the Bums mauled our RP in the 12th and that was that...

Listen kids, it had a 'playoff atmosphere' to it...the initial matchup with LaLa, which has 19 of them this season...I consider this one a test and a look see to where we actually are...too many mistakes, and not just by the players...game 2 today, and let's hope for more of the better stuff...

Rampant...the number of mass shootings in the country...45 in the past month?...all over the map, too...threats on the VP Kamala Harris...what is going on?...what part of civilization do we live in?...man...and simply no talk of banning the public from owning rapid fire rifles...'thoughts and prayers go out'...

As I read my sources...from all different viewpoints and places...almost every one of them has the same 3 story lines...the 'unarmed' 13 year old shot in Chicago...the subsequent marches and protests in their area...and the number of new Covid afflicted and deaths...no commentary here, just reporting the facts, as I read 'em...

So, like in the past year, we look for diversions...cuz the reality is not good...hasn't been...feast on some food, read a book, watch the tele, drink some bubbly...something...anything...

As you know I sold my orange BMW to the place that sold us the VW Beetle...and they sold it to a bloke in Texas...right...orange, and the color of UT!...makes sense...they said that they sell often to out of state buyers...interesting...

While in Indio, we happened on this bloke and his band in the casino...as throughout the time there, a mask was required!...anyhoo, the reason I am showing you this...is that my iPhone took this inside pix, quite nicely...first time I had one that would...


For sure, the other item...the funeral procession in England for the death of the Duke of Edinburgh...a lot of people like these telecasts...count me out...

The ACM's are tomorrow eve...I believe...and Little Big Town is gonna perform 'Wine, Beer and Whiskey'...I guar-an-tee if you watch it, you will be up boogying...dah dah dah ta...

How is it, that we have beisbol, basketball, and college football (USD) all playing at the same time?...aren't the high schools playing football now, too?...ah, what?...

Places of worship (we call them churches) now can be at 100% occupancy in our area...is this true?...what tier is this?...

Finally, this is national...Record Store Day...I just may celebrate and head on down to the one in Hillcrest and get jiggy with them...buy a vinyl or two...then, rock out with the oldies later on...you down?...

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed...
