And The Winner Is...

It's all about the pomp and circumstance, right?...the OSCARS...the ultimate award to these film people...'just to be nominated'...is quite accurate for moi...anyhoo, it is this evening...and, give yourself plenty of time for the gala event...oh yes, I know nothing about the 'party' at the Theater Box...thus, am thinking that it didn't get the quorum needed...oh well, the smaller screen here will suffice...

Not sure how the non-hosting of the Academy Awards is going to work...sure seems like one is needed...maybe Whoopi will emerge after all...one of the key parts, is the arrival of the 'stars' and their showing, and brief statements...about what they are wearing, and it was made by whom...and who is lending the jewelry to the ladies...yes, it's the work of Kelly Ripa and Ryan Secrest...

Of course, the highlight of the night, is the crowning of the big 5...the best actress, actor, supporting of each, and then the 'best' movie...just has to be a big money maker at that moment...for the first time in I don't know how long we actually have seen a flick that is nominated, 'A Star Is Born'...I have heard a lot of scuttle butt, that the Freddy Mercury film is the one to beat...I dunno...

Thinking back about the winners...I still can't imagine the 'Crouching Tigers' film winning...or the time that an actress, Kim Basinger, won for best supporting actress for LA Confidential...as she was in the movie just a few minutes...totally wonder about how 'supporting' the actors agents really are...and this...if the voters really view all of these nominated movies...

Still, the nite is totally fun, albeit long...so, have yourself a bubbly to pass the time...as the best cinematographer is announced...er, the best lighting gaff...is that really a word?...or occupation?...I digress...will Lady GaGa (Stefani Germanotta) win?...hey, I am going to tell ya'll this...that when you see and hear Adam Lambert do the lead vocal for Queen...you will wonder how he DIDN'T win American Idol...

And NO...I make zero predictions on this...none...as I have NO CLUE as to what it takes to win...for me, I'd have comedies included...cuz, that's why I go to a flick...to be wrapped up into something that takes me cares away...and I get to LAUGH...not watching somebody hysterically sobbing...

So...

Down in Mexico...way down there...James Taylor...the PGA is flailing away...as DJ (Dustin Johnson) is whupping the field...and, just when Tiger was making a charge...he FOUR putted a green....4...he done...stick a fork in him...staying in the negative, but Jordan Spieth has lost his game...yips and yikes!...OK, I thought that Rory was down and out...and he has rebounded...so, Jordan, get out and take some time off...

I made mention of the Duke/Syracuse game...Duke won, without Zion...and the 'Cuse coach just has to be a hurting...just sad...the Ducks blew yet another big lead to the Bruins...weird...SDSU beat Vegas...there you go...

Michael Cohen is spending his week with the Congressionals...and I believe it is Wednesday, that he is open to the public...something like that...pop some popcorn, settle in with a liter of Coke...bingo, Orange Ogre dismantling time...

Smut time...KLK has been mentioned as the new Bachelorette...this after being cheated on by TT, with KYK's bff...she is now free to be what she wants to be...and is 'out there'...however, KK has called the rumor 'f___ing fake news'...wonder where she got that term?...

Uh oh, there may be another delay in the release of the Mueller Report...just read this...that the 'committee' is looking into Junior and Jared...just a matter of time, kids...

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting...
