Where is the Safe Place?

Good morning, to you all...in yet another tragedy of mass murder...that seems to happen almost on a weekly, if not daily, basis...we are left shaking our heads...why?...this time at a Congregation...of all places...soft spots...usually without police protection...or armed guards...think about it...churches, malls, schools, streets, marathon races, concerts...big cities, little cities...urban, rural...the list is endless...and always against those who have no ability to defend themselves...and rarely, at an army or the like...so, the Q is, WHERE IS THE SAFE PLACE?...

We all want to know why...is it due to ISIS?...the scum of the earth?...hey, whoever does it, is scum...there must be a better word...revenge?...against a bunch of kids at a church?...or people watching a singer perform?...or those who are riding their bikes in a bike lane?...or just walking down a walkway in a bustling neighborhood?...what do they use?...rapid fire guns?...rented trucks?...pressure cookers?...the list is there...to do mass harm...

In the aftermath...the same responses have been given by our leaders...and those, who have the ability to make change...in how we deal with the availability of the weapons used...'pray for them'...please, this isn't working...how many deaths will it take before we have real censure on how and who can own a rapid fire gun?...no, I don't want to hear that it will mean that nobody will have the right to their single firing rifle...or their single firing hand gun...but, there is no reason on this earth for the common man, not the military mind you, to have one of these weapons in their possession...

It galls me to think that the reasoning for the lack of leadership on this, has to do with the lobbying in our nation's capitol...money thrown their way, to stay in power...er, to be re-elected...again...maybe, just maybe, term limits for the Senators and Representatives may help a lot...A LOT!...think about this...before it hits YOU at home...and the way things are going...it just may...

So where is the SAFE SPOT?...I'm not sure...are you?...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
