Trade Number 2

No GM?...no prob...as the Padres do trade number 2...dumping the 3B Chase Headley on the NY Yankees...hmmm...for a couple of prospects...one an infielder and one a single A thrower...seems to me like a giveaway...and the rumor is...the horrendous starting 2B Jed Gyorko, is going to move over to 3B when he returns...eegads...all this done without a GM...ha ha...

Go figure, as the Pads beat the Mets in their latest....hmmm...at the Cubbies...we'll see what's next...more moves to be made...ha ha...without a GM...hope you don't have much $ in the club...

Just got back from a trip to Palm Springs...oh my lordy, it was hot...HOT...107*...and we played golf in it...but, mostly swam in the pool...we stayed at a gorgeous place...the Andreas...small and so nice...walk every where in downtown...albeit be almost impossible to do so right now...got some great rays...and great food...

Worked a deal on some new irons...Nike...the shop said they would work a good deal...it's a down time for them, too...traded my way old Cobras...now, I'm going to be a great golfer...ha ha...at least, they are new...I'm, however, the same...

I have no answers for the Hamas/Israel situation...just a lot of pity for all involved...as the loss of life is devastating...so sad...I guess it is inevitable...but what will be the result?...just befuddles me...

As we prepare for our trip to Orygun, we are excited to see our old friends...not that they are old, but are, well....you know what I mean...keeping our bags packed...and Sammi ticked that we are doing so...TG for the Mackles and son Cris, and Leila, who are tag teaming the baby sitting...er, dog sitting...

We have NO food here in the interim...going to have to be creative...but it is very comfortable, weather wise...I have no idea how the PS people survive during this time of the year...

The British Open...Rory has gotten the mojo back...and if he can keep it up, will emerge as the guy that all that he was a couple of years back...and kudos to Rickey and Serg for a great T...
