Out Goes the Old

The end of the year, 2024...is upon us...the cheers of joy and whatever...on this eve...well, not so much for us...as we are the elders...we take it all in stride...watch the pixels of the world, doing what we are not...celebrating...hope to last until after 9...

As per usual, all years have their ups and downs...for us, physically, it has been wondrous...as we altered our habits...the bloody blood test, made us keenly aware of problems...we fixed it...it's a good thing...our kids and their kids...it is so fun to watch their growth...becoming little people that we are so fond of...distance is always a problem for families...the emergence of the Duck football is a kick like no other...can they continue on tomorrow?...we shall see...the downer, of course, is the political thang...apparently, over half the voting population is in favor of it...so, pop the popcorn, and let's watch the show...finally, friends...we are so blessed with them...

Since I have been writing me blog, I have had this urge to write a novel...ah, test it out yet again...did so way back when I first retired....and if I do, I would cease this daily blog...thing is, I like what I do...get up at 5, read my sources for an hour, then write for an hour...and I am done...it's cool...I get what I want off my chest...stir up things a bit...get some reactions...one thing I don't do, as you know, I don't debate...let others rattle off their beliefs...it gives them a forum...so...I dunno...

We happened on a new Apple + series...and it's a thought provoker, for sure...don't give up on it quickly, it will get you...'Disclaimer'...Cate Blanchett, Kevin Kline, and you will be shocked on the other featured cast lead...try to figure it out...I had no idea until the credits ran after the 1st episode...

The CFP bowl version starts today...with Penn St vs Boise St as the initial one...Fiesta Bowl...the pundits say the Nittany Lions, and the Horse says the Broncos...it's a test to see what gives for tomorrow's Rose Bowl, I think...

Hey, you weather freaks...one item down here in SoCal, is the lack of rain...really...it's been a down season for it...now, we are going thru a session of the Santa Anna winds...not good, as the fire danger heats up...

I know you have been waiting for the final results...the Horse won the 3rd place trophy in the FF league I am in...a smashing victory, and Coach Pyle will keep his job...

A little known fact for ya...for youse out there that are incensed with plucking or cutting your NOSE hairs...ah, you may be hurting yourself...they are there, in God's plan to protect you...they filter out stuff that may get into your breathing...true dat...well, at least cut them at the entry point...right?...

The Threads app, is filled with lists of best and worst...people trying to get reactions to what they list...most of it, makes me laugh, sometimes out loud...well, all worst lists just have to contain the KFam....probably the winner...er, 1st...

One such nightmare...ha ha...is the ever emergence at the end of each and every month...them bloody bills...

I have this feeling, that in the new year, the one thing that will not be raised in price...is the Big Mac...and what makes it even worse...whatever the price it is...WE are paying for it for the big orange...

Good morning all, from the great state of Oregon...this whole trip is about FRIENDS!...meeting up with peops we have been with over our years in the PNW...and for Boss's reunion....the opening act was a combo party of the two at this pad, a bar, called Johnny's...simply said, it was fun... The stories were there, the faces remained the same...and it tickled moi, that so many FRIENDS showed up...unfortunately, I did not get enough time to talk to all, please forgive me...when you go back some 60 years, my memory does fade a tad...well, and so does their's...ha ha...believe me, it was worth the trip... Boss was one of the belles of the ball...yes, she still looks great...you know that....well, the rest of her class did not know that, until last eve...she was flitting (flirting) about so...which made me smile...and that is only the beginning of it...the REAL reunion is tonight...one of my FRIENDS reminded me that is the gals reunion...which I think is most reunions...it is for...

When the thesaurus ran it's new version...it highlighted the word 'oration'...and there it was ... President Barack Obama...and then there is more..... see...Michelle Obama ...these two have the fundamental prowess of giving speeches...at the right time...at the right place... No better example of this, than last night at the DNC...each were marvelous...of course ...it's what people, special people, like these two...do...carry a message across the Nation...that we all can not only understand, but agree with... For seemingly years, the Horse has said...that if Michelle O wanted to be in the White House, AGAIN...this time as the President, and not the wife...she could ...however, for right now...she is supporting the right choice...for this time of the history of our country....
