After all these years...hey, my dream was always the rag top
Chevy...'57...candy apple red...I had a '57 Ford...4 door...I did NOT COMPLAIN...it was wheels and it got me here and there...eventually traded it for a '56 Olds...with a power everything in it...even a more advanced Power Bar...to switch the radio channels...now one calls that a scan button...roll top leather (?) seats...got about 7 miles to the gallon...thus my prob...even though I would buy it at 27 cents, it seemed like a lot...compare that to $4 a gallon now...ah, them good old days...I just can't remember if it was 2 or 4 door...BUT...I wish I had it today...looked exactly like this...

And that is also what the Tide did to LSU...cruised by 'em...and showed the country that they are, indeed, the top team in the land...just too big...and too fast...and too everything...and the race?...for the team to take them on...is on...and the case will be made for FSU, Ohio St, Baylor...amongst others...and, like in beisbol, I now don't care much...dang...maybe the Cardinal would be a good fit...I just don't know...

NBA...talk about in cruise control....the Miami Heat...as this time it is the upstart Celtics to beat 'em...what?...not a fan of their lackluster start...maybe, it is a sign of things to come...and...the Blazers completed the back to back sweep of the Cousin led Kings...geez, Sac even went to Jimmy in the 2nd half...what?...bad recipe...and...the Clips beat Dwight and the Rockets...I'm telling you, he is NOT a major player...and break up the Pacers...undefeated at 7...that team is looking real large in the rear view mirror, huh LeBron....

Golf in Turkey...a shameless plug for the upcoming holiday...as the Euros and select Americans are viewing for the $...Tiger is there...still banging his driver all over the yard...sure seems like a player that good, should be able to figure that part of his game out...until then...he is just a very good one...not a great one...it's time for another change in his coach...who he fires as much as George did with the Yankees...well, not that bad...but you get my drift...

SDSU wins!...in football...as they came from nowhere and beat San Jose St...with NO kicker of merit...misses extra point kicks...and 6 straight FG attempts...including the winner against the still undefeated Fresno St...and...they have the distinction of allowing scores every time the opponent gets into the red zone...20 yard line and in...29 straight times...the worst in all of football...have not stopped a team yet this season...what?...unheard of stat...and yet win?...how can that be?...

Shepherd notches another one!...running their record to 9-0...with a thrashing of winless West Somebody St...and are making a mockery of the MEC race...nobody derails the Rams...nobody...they are cruisin' through the league...

The Bolts host the Broncos today out at the Q...eegads, the line is only 7...what?...let's be perfectly clear...Denver wins big...and the home folk will be heading out of there early...I wish I had better news for you, unless you are a Peyton fan...

One last look at the Pac 12...next week...Stanford is at USC...well...and the Ducks host Utah...hmmm..there is a chance that UO could pass them Cards up...hate to say it, but I'm pulling for the Trojans...which I rarely do...regroup Ducks, regroup...

Finally...MLB is meeting in Orlando...and the agenda (outside of trading blokes) is changes...the biggest rumor?...the National League adopting the DH...really think it will happen...have mixed thoughts on it...but, it makes no diff what you or I think...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
