Inexact Science

The NFL Draft...it seems like any fantasy draft that we get into...once somebody goes for a particular position, the rest of the teams do so...that was the mantra for 2013...the offensive tackles...left in the dust were the QB's and RB's...odd...and one guy who has fallen from a sure fire top 3 last year, to a sure fire FOURTH ROUNDER, this time around...Matt Barkley of the USC Trojans...hey, you know I'm not a fan of them, but they have sone great players...just one of the worst coaches...so says CH...anyway...he is the top QB of the draft...and somebody is going to pick him, make him their new starter, tell the world how they got him in this late of a round....and we will all be talking about this a year from now...mark this down...

Another bloke that fell from grace was the Heisman Winner, Mante Te'o...with a bizarre twist in his private life...a horrific showing in the BSBCS Title Game...and dubious speed in the Combine...all led to him being dropped from a top pick to a second rounder....the new Bolt's GM took him...this, my friends, is a gamble...and not only will set the stage for Te'o's credibility, but the Charger's new regime, too...we will revisit this in a couple of months...for sure...

As we were coming home last eve, I was constantly checking my iphone for the score of the SF/SD game...one of our true hopes got a start...flame thrower Cashner...he who we picked up for young bopper Rizzo...wham bam, the game was over...and we won 2-1!...don't have any highlights yet...did see we scored a bit more...but the key was...only allowing one run...

I gave you odds on the possibles in the NBA Playoffs...make the Heat 1-10, now that OKC lost their star PG...and it brings 4 teams into the long shot discussion...the Grizzlies 40-1, the Clips 40-1, the Warriors 80-1, and the Nuggets 80-1....OKC drops to 25-1...just being real...

You know, sometimes I can be a real foo...

 Breaking news...the Philadelphia Eagles traded up to the 1st pick in the 4th round and did pick USC's Barkley...Chip knows what he is doing...and so does Crazy Horse...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
