Professional?


The state of D-1 collegiate sports...is it now...PROFESSIONAL?...the players are paid, via the NIL...sometimes ludicrous amounts of cash...the transfer portal is a joke...many players go where the money is the...MOST!...well, no kidding...there are more rules on movement in the NFL and NBA, then there are in the collegiate ranks...do these players go to school?...the fact that they once got a 'free' college diploma...is pretty much a gone incentive...how many stay long enough to get one?...

Look at the CFP...how many of the players were in the same school the year prior?...case in point, the scorers in the recent Notre Dame game...for the Irish, all came from other schools...ah, schools?...or football teams...you certainly can not call it a 'program' anymore...imagine trying to recruit a high schooler to your 'school'...seems like everyone would be lying...the student, the coach, and the cash incentive...

The Clemson football, they tried to stay out of the portal...but, they too, succumbed...every one HAS to...I am not sure of the hoops, but I do know the portal is instrumental in it, too...not sure about the cash...the issue there, is that a high schooler only has to play one year in college, then they are able to try the NBA....in football, it is 3 years...yes, to protect the player...right...the way it is going, who is to say what is right and what is wrong...

Recall, and I am saying not that long ago...the reason for not having playoffs in D-1 football, was that would take the players out of school too much...put that in your pipe and smoke it...now...funny, and not really funny, was that the real students who played football on all levels below D-1, had playoffs...

Pivoting...(hoops jargon)...but, not in this case...Mr Peepers did get the nod for the House Speaker...couldn't imagine him not...but, I do not understand the Congressionals...not one bit...'you doesn't have to call me Johnson'...

8 track, cassette, then CD...the music we listened to in the automobile...I must have installed at least 3 different radio/music players in my cars over the years...now, can you even buy a CD?...it's all streamed...and TG for XM...it costs, but it is worth it...I have old rigs, so I can still play my old CD's...and in the Lexus, a cassette, too...the advantage of the elder cars...ha ha...hey, does anyone still listen to FM, or AM, for that matter...?...

Hey, speaking of elders...did YOUR insurance change in January?...ours certainly did, without notice...they are in it, to make money...which sure seems the message of the day...

What happened to all the comedians?...

Not that I am griping, but with all the player movement in beisbol...the Friars are only losing guys to other teams...are we clearing our debt?...can we not afford any of the available dudes?...geez, them Bums have bought out the store...and are favs for sure...I see they are renovating Chavez Ravine...what money?...

Not a good thing...I have been up since 2:30...like am...I guess stress...enjoy every minute of your life, kids...

The explosion in Vegas in the Muskmobile...the guy killed himself first...I don't get it...just don't get it...we don't value life enough...

It is a Costco day...is this true, that MAGA is boycotting the store?...why?...if so, I have to say, I love it...they have to be going to Walmart...makes sense...

It's da weekend, and the final one for the NFL...ah, regular season...loads of teams are resting players for the playoffs...well, the cats who are in...let's see...Bengals have to win...today...can you believe there is another nonsensical bowl game today?...the Bahamas Bowl...pitting the mighty Buffalo vs Liberty...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
