It's like looking at the remains of a bomb attack...the inferno that caused so many structures to just burn down...the death total has risen to 16...the numbers of people that are without homes, countless...this is LA right now, kids...our normal path to get to the kids house...well, we either go the PCH, er, Hwy 1...or the 405...now, both are under the fire path...

Blame is not the proper course of attention...action is...to try to stop the remaining fires...containment...BEFORE the return of the Santa Ana winds...the 80 mph mode of destruction...it is BEYOND BELIEF!...

Speaking about BB, the poor showing of the Chargers in their playoff loss to the Texans...painful, as former Duck, QB Herbert, had an awful day...4 intercepts...ah, not all his fault...the score?...32-12...yet, it is obvious that the receiving corp of the Chargers is 2nd rate...they need another wideout and tight end...and why oh why, didn't the brilliant mind of the OC, move Herbert out of the pocket?...he was, ah hem, a sitting Duck.... 

The other game...on Prime...which I am sure rattled many NFL fans...had the Ravens toy with the Steelers...who ended their season with 5 straight losses...a mismatch, for sure...

Commentary...it filled my heart up with nothing but love...seeing the video of our grandson, Cyrus...playing hoops on his team in Montecito...they play on OUTSIDE courts...what was so cool, was that his dad was filming...and getting the biggest charge out of it, too...he said that Cyrus reminded him of himself when he was that age...hooping...this thing...the circle of life...as I call it...makes my life seem so worthwhile...cherish these moments, Horse...

Coaching 'carousel'...with the owners tinkering with their little toys...their teams...I find it amazing that the coaches that have been fired prior....are now the main guys to get the interviews...another man's disdain, is another's prized hire...listen, dudes, give some other guys a chance...

Let's get to the games today...NFL playoffs...Broncos at Bills, in the snow?...and a big underdog...Pack at Eagles, where some say, the pundits, that Green Bay has a chance...and the Commandoskins at the Bucs, which I see a Baker blitz...yes, the Horse will watch some of these...maybe all of them...

Ryback...the Horse has ordered one of his books...'Takeover...Hitler's Final Rise to Power'...is someone trying to follow the script?...

Yes, it is true...I had a thing for Lesley Gore...not in that way, but I loved her lyric filled songs...the melodies were way cool...two that stood out...'California Nights' and the one that should be the anthem for all independent women, 'You Don't Own Me'...

Good morning all, from the great state of Oregon...this whole trip is about FRIENDS!...meeting up with peops we have been with over our years in the PNW...and for Boss's reunion....the opening act was a combo party of the two at this pad, a bar, called Johnny's...simply said, it was fun... The stories were there, the faces remained the same...and it tickled moi, that so many FRIENDS showed up...unfortunately, I did not get enough time to talk to all, please forgive me...when you go back some 60 years, my memory does fade a tad...well, and so does their's...ha ha...believe me, it was worth the trip... Boss was one of the belles of the ball...yes, she still looks great...you know that....well, the rest of her class did not know that, until last eve...she was flitting (flirting) about so...which made me smile...and that is only the beginning of it...the REAL reunion is tonight...one of my FRIENDS reminded me that is the gals reunion...which I think is most reunions...it is for...

When the thesaurus ran it's new version...it highlighted the word 'oration'...and there it was ... President Barack Obama...and then there is more..... see...Michelle Obama ...these two have the fundamental prowess of giving speeches...at the right time...at the right place... No better example of this, than last night at the DNC...each were marvelous...of course ...it's what people, special people, like these two...do...carry a message across the Nation...that we all can not only understand, but agree with... For seemingly years, the Horse has said...that if Michelle O wanted to be in the White House, AGAIN...this time as the President, and not the wife...she could ...however, for right now...she is supporting the right choice...for this time of the history of our country....
