Fads, Bads, Mads, Rads



Often I will start with a blast from the past...like today...as I reminisce about the Labor Days...back in my working life...as the school year started the day after...and the Horse did his most favorite 'get away' thang...a day at the horse races at the Oregon State Fair...alas, not only am I done with that job, but the horses no longer run at the Fair...both I would rate as too bad...I do miss the teaching/coaching gig...

Suffice to say, that the horses still run down here in SoCal...and my goal for the week, is to get out to Del Mar for a day at the races...if you have never, it is a most beautiful site...you must attend at least once...the owners do it right...I believe the most cherished of all events, the Breeder's Cup is here this November...good golly, these animals are amazing...I rate this rad...

This MLB West contest...wild as it can be...as the Bums are stretching out a bit...money talks...yet, the Friars are holding on...as Jr returned....Yu goes Wednesday...and soon, Kim comes back and we are intact...shall give it our best shot....the best since we have been here, about 20 years, I reckon...glad we are...

College football...the Monday niter, had Boston College beating Florida St...my how the Seminoles have fallen...man, it can be brutal for a coach...the way the scribes, and the WEB NET, attacks the dude...he was a star, now a bum...brutal...I rate this bad...BTW, I did watch the game...and it was no fluke...BC was better...

Staying in football...the Beavs come here to play SDSU...have a minor inkling to go to it...and watch out Oregon faithful...Boise St invades Autzen...the Ducks must play up to hype...have to...

Talking about a serious Duck, Snooki...he is a huge follower and knows everything to know about them...my resource for it all...and we banter about the team and other more serious stuff...like Bozo and what he has muttered out loud, lately...which is always a scream....anyhoo, he shared that he really liked a book 'The Women'....enough for moi, so I went to Costco and bought it...

He is right on...an author, Kristin Hannah, who has the gift of weaving words wonderfully...the story is about a gal, who volunteers to go to Vietnam...during that war...as no women were sent, unless in the medical field...and this gal went...riveting...BUT, one item stuck in my craw...what is a craw?...anyhoo...

How this nurse dealt with, a most ghastly weapon of death...that we invented in 1942...'we' meaning Louis Fieser, for the Chemical Warfare Service, in a secret laboratory at Harvard University...NAPALM...I have seen videos and still pix of it...either by plane, or by hand held into caves...wherever the enemy was...


BUT, I did not know much about it...and the sticky, slimy concoction, attaches to the body...until it burns out...imagine...the slow, painful, death...GAWD, I hate war...mad and bad...

The description of how the nurse was greeted back into the states after finishing up her two stints...was depicted exactly how they were...spit on, cursed at, and flipped off...they were the pawns, people...the ones that deserved that....were our leaders...going to this one step further...can you possibly imagine trump leading us into a battle...ever?...as he has said over and over "I know more than the generals do"....mad and bad...

I talked about weaving into the story...she does with the songs that we loved so....that actually had a double meaning...no better than the Animals, 'We Gotta Get Outta This Place'...

We are finally getting back into the rhythm of the home...laid back life style...tomorrow I golf like really early...so, will bypass, and see you all Thursday...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
