'Twas The Night Before Christmas


And all though the house...well, it is here, kids...Christmas Eve...it's been a long year, seemingly...just a feeling I guess...perhaps, it's been the elongated political plight...something tells me the next 4 years will even be longer...we have been fortunate in other ways...the kids are doing great...we are healthy and active...sounds like I am doing a year ending summary, which I did not mean to...

Christmas songs...nothing takes you back into your younger days, then the songs of Christmas...whenever I hear the Johnny Mathis ones...time appears to have never changed...well, that's the beauty of music...it is what was recorded...forever...+ seeing him in concert, twice, at Xmas...was a treat beyond a dream...he looks and sounds like his albums...

'How Great Thou Art'...the live version of Carrie Underwood and Vince Gil...was the most haunting and beautiful rendition of it I have ever heard...if you are not before, you may turn into religion...which I try not to talk about...but, I do believe...listen to this song, and tell me otherwise...I honestly get tears in me eyes...

Not Christmas...but you must see the vid of Brooks and Dunn...'Believe'...and if this does not knock your socks of...you must not be wearing any...a tear jerker...and just plain beautiful...

Any Christmas song by Amy Grant...her voice epitomizes the sounds of the season...hey, we see her in concert in a few months out at El Cajon...

'Baby It's Cold Outside'...is a duets dream Xmas song...so many great renditions...but, start with Dean Martin and Marilyn Maxwell...Lady A did a wonderful one...geez, for a kick, go to Wikipedia and look at all the duets that covered the song...

I have the brand spanking new Little Big Town Christmas vinyl...and will unseal it today...love them...been waiting for this day to do so...

Of course the pop Xmas classics...Mariah's 'All I Want for Christmas is You'...Brenda Lee's 'Rocking Around the Christmas Tree'...Darlene Love's 'Christmas'...so many more...XM channel 58 has the Country Christmas songs...they do them purnt near great...

Chris Christie predicted this...and it is happening sooner than he thought...trump is already having jealous feelings toward Elon...too many peops are calling orange the puppet of Musk...infuriating the guy...he will drop him, ASAP...ha ha ha ha...kinda reminds me of a Nutcracker...to stay in the season...

Well, we must watch a Christmas flick...not sure which one...Son Cris just loves 'Christmas Vacation'...he can say line after line in it...

One and only ONE GAME today...the Hawaii Bowl...featuring 2 blockbuster teams...South Florida and San Jose St...which by the way, SJS is favored by 3...I dunno, I think I would bet 100 quid on USF...and take the 3...

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed...
