Box 'Em Up


We are closing out the Christmas part of the Holidays...as today, we box up our stuff, til next year...because we used to keep it up until after New Years...ah, not this time around...just wasn't as holly and jolly as seasons past...for whatever reasons...just a NO...

The Holiday Bowl...moved to the newish stadium in Mission Valley...called the Snapdragon...where the seating is around 30 grand....instead of the 50+ in the 'old one'...done, as the Chargers and their evil owner Spanos, bolted to LA...where nobody likes them...ah, hem...get to the point, Horse...Syracuse whomped the WSU Cougars last eve...the problem?...Wash St lost 30 players to the NIL...so, the team they brought were backups, yet gallant guys...I tell ya, college football is in shambles...they need a new governing board...like NOW!...

'Hey coach Brown, is that you?...ah, well you are fired!'...yup, the Sacramento Kings, fired their head coach over the telephone last night...yet another classless move by the very very rich...owners of pro sports...just tinker toys to them fat cats, who pay less tax than you or I...and make a gazillion more dollars...geez, I am definitely speaking like a socialist...ha ha...call me what you want, you fake Christians...calm down, Horse...

Putin apologized to Kazakhstan for the passenger plane crash...ah, did not admit it was their fault, but just apologized...yes, right...no prob...have a good day...

Watched a very intense flick 'Blitz'...on Apple...so well done, and gives you a glimpse as to what Britain was going thru in WWII...as they were getting bombed for get this, EIGHT STRAIGHT MONTHS!...how they held up, is truly an amazing feat of will and fortitude...a must see, kids...trust the Horse...

The Bums...the Dodgers...keep signing their guys, and new guys...millions and millions of bucks...much if it deferred....ah, what?...the balance of the league is outta control...as much of sports, is...where do these fat cats get all their dough?...the haves and have nots, are greater than ever...apparently...

As per usual, on the web net, one can find endless lists of this, that, and whatever...one came up from a guy who was around many of the fat cat stars....'stars'...and listed, well his list, the most rude of them all...nasty people, to quote the orange...1st on the roster was the entire K Fam...them Kardashians...ha ha, they are not stars, but, well, what are they?...can't do a thing, but alter their bodies...and pose provocatively...every day...each and every day...of course the usuals were also mentioned...ie Madonna...JLo....James Cordon...Jamie Foxx...who really must be foos...

So, yesterday seemed like a Sunday, and today does not feel like a Saturday...I am all confused...

To harbor my point of a mercy killing...in hoops yesterday, Baylor 105, Arlington Baptist 53...why play this game, Bears?...c'mon...

EIGHT bowl games today....8!...none as part of the CFP...JCC...the team that was originally tabbed as the opponent to the entire Army in the Independence Bowl, had to drop out...the coach and most of his players left Marshall...so, in comes Looosiana Tech to fill in... one game I may watch...the Alamo Bowl, that has BYU vs Neon Deon...and the Heisman winner...

Finally....3 NFL games...Chargers at the Pats...Broncos at the Bengals...and Cards at the Rams...I think all have playoff ramifications...

Yes, kids...this is National Chocolate Candy Day...make mine a Snickers...or an Idaho Spud...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
