In the never ending quest to watch good tele...we happened on a docu on the legend, Cary Grant...ah, Archie Leach...spurned us on...which led to a masterpiece of a golden oldie flick 'Notorious'...made in 1946...now I know you youngsters will want to smack me for saying this...but, 'they' don't make movies like this anymore...people interacting...with one another...

The director?...none other than Alfred Hitchcock...who had a stream of great flicks...which is our NEW passion...watching his works...in the aforementioned 'Notorious', the lead actors were Cary Grant, and Ingrid Bergman...and a dude who was a major part of 'Casablanca...the infamous, Casablanca'...Bogey stuff...ah, not Humphrey, but, ah, shoot can't recall his name...I will later...yes, here he is...Claude Rains...

One of the intriguing things about Alfred...is that he would do a cameo in all his films...pop up somewhere...in 'Notorious', he was sipping champagne at a dinner party, then quickly walked away...it kind of makes the movies even more interesting...

The BSBCS has named their top 12...before next week's final say...yup, the Ducks are still #1...and JCC about the rest...there is confusion about the latter teams in the bracket...SEC rears it's ugly head...ha ha...I guess they do have a point...they are good teams... 

The Horse has no idea about what the NBA is doing with this 'in season' playoff...really...another JCC...I guess it may be big for some, but you have to be a NBA nut to understand the rational...did you know, the Lakers won it last year...and raised a flag for the accomplishment...really...

MLB is throwing out a new wrinkle...'The Golden Bat'...which means that at anytime during a game, the Mgr can have any of his players step up to the plate...out of order...to be used only once...man, what a crock, if passed...should call this the 'Shohei Rule'...as the Bums would benefit the most...

So...I banged some hybrids about in my search for newish ones...at a golf shop...found one I really liked...Callaway APEX....the price was too steep for moi...and decided to go to the Callaway site...and looked at the guaranteed refurbished ones...yes, that's my gig...ordered 3 to replace my old Callaway ones...all for the price of one new one...true dat...Merry Xmas...

You do know, once you hit the club, it is not new anymore...like whence you drive your brand new car off the lot, it is a used vehicle...same thing...

More nonsense...our Beetle...the window on the driver's side...will not go up...all the time...so, it needs another new regulator...for you car buffs, you know what this is...for us, heathens, it just means money out the window...ah, and guess what?...they don't make parts for the '07 Beetle anymore...sooooo...our guy found a used one...VOILA!...it works...400 quids later...

BTW, that shop owner swears by the Toyota/Lexus cars...says that they are so well designed...and oh my, he mentioned that the Tesla is full of flaws...$$$$$...owner beware...unless you are leasing...

What on earth is going on in our pride and joy country, South Korea?...the bits and pieces of vids I have seen...show me chaos...what we DON'T NEED right now...martial law proclaimed, then rescinded just hours later?...we have a ton of troops there, kids...

I see where Costco is running a deal, just today, that one can vacay in Bora Bora...for a discount...how long a flight is that bugger?...way too long for the Horse, I bet...

What Alfred flick shall be next?...'North by Northwest?'...

Good morning all, from the great state of Oregon...this whole trip is about FRIENDS!...meeting up with peops we have been with over our years in the PNW...and for Boss's reunion....the opening act was a combo party of the two at this pad, a bar, called Johnny's...simply said, it was fun... The stories were there, the faces remained the same...and it tickled moi, that so many FRIENDS showed up...unfortunately, I did not get enough time to talk to all, please forgive me...when you go back some 60 years, my memory does fade a tad...well, and so does their's...ha ha...believe me, it was worth the trip... Boss was one of the belles of the ball...yes, she still looks great...you know that....well, the rest of her class did not know that, until last eve...she was flitting (flirting) about so...which made me smile...and that is only the beginning of it...the REAL reunion is tonight...one of my FRIENDS reminded me that is the gals reunion...which I think is most reunions...it is for...

When the thesaurus ran it's new version...it highlighted the word 'oration'...and there it was ... President Barack Obama...and then there is more..... see...Michelle Obama ...these two have the fundamental prowess of giving speeches...at the right time...at the right place... No better example of this, than last night at the DNC...each were marvelous...of course ...it's what people, special people, like these two...do...carry a message across the Nation...that we all can not only understand, but agree with... For seemingly years, the Horse has said...that if Michelle O wanted to be in the White House, AGAIN...this time as the President, and not the wife...she could ...however, for right now...she is supporting the right choice...for this time of the history of our country....
