The Opening Act




'Here we are, in a room full of strangers...'...(Bee Gees)...ah, we opted not to do this...this Thanksgiving...the idea of going to a restaurant to have a Turkey Din Din...well, not this time...as we are sharing our table with them crazy Mackles...

Thanksgiving...over the years...ah, my 77 of them...the meaning of it has changed...many times...the one thing that hasn't...friends...being with family and friends...lord, the passing of my family, and Boss's...it has been a time of gatherings...most are gone now...enough of that...as all people our ages, have the same feelings...and remembrances....I doubt that the present generation gets into that...celebrating and things are in the past...as they have moved to another phase...theirs...as the famous philosopher once said 'it is what it is'...

With all the hoopla of closing the borders...it makes me laugh and gets me angered at the same time...listen, you all are invaders...you all are illegals...well, not really, but it sounds great from us Injuns...lure us in with some food and wine, and we fell for it...damn...

Nowadays, in reality...Thanksgiving is the OPENING ACT for the Holidays...time to put up the Xmas Tree...hang the outside lights...figure out what presents (if any) to give to all...really, I love the show...it could last longer for moi...lurve the festivities...as the concerts that we have gone to were so great...in celebration...Johnny Mathis...his...Sara Evans...hers...and we were treated to a pre-holday song by LeeAnn Rimes 'Blue Christmas'...not the Elvis version...just last week...tears in the eyes, so beautiful...this is the lighting of the Marriott on the bay in San Diego...

NFL Football...is now a staple of the day...3 games today...I can recall, all us men...and a few women...watching the games on days past...seemingly the Cowboys and the Lions had games, like always,  on Thanksgiving Day...reminding me of John Madden eating them humongous turkey legs with the MVP...it was simply rad...

Knowing that there is to be a lot of cooking to be done today...we opted to hit Las Hadas for Mexican food last eve...it was great...and smart...shoot, we start within the hour...the cooking phase...turkey in...

The Horse wishes you all a wonderful Thanksgiving Day...whatever it's meaning is to you...if you'd like to share your feelings, and perhaps your memories...please do...it's that time of year...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
