Blinders



Good morning, kids...hey for all of you who are horse racing people...you will know exactly what I mean when I say "this horse will put on blinders for the next 4 years"....for youse not, these are things that cup the eyes of the horse...thus, it can only see straight ahead...as will this horse...

Finishing up the Bob Woodward book 'War'...it reminded me of what really is happening in the Middle East...and not so much, about what trump was doing...it tells me how invaluable Blinken is, and maybe, was to our country in the past regime...he jockeyed amongst the leaders of all those countries there...like a ping pong ball...according to the book, none worse than Netanyahu...er, Israels' leader...AND how temporary the truce is between Israel and Iran...just a rocket or two, away from being a massive war...we shall see how prez-elect trump handles this...

I'll try to keep this form of commentary on the down low...ah, blinders on...this country is not ready to vote in a woman...for the presidency...so weird...14 million democrats, are telling me this...wonder if Michelle O would try?...have to think, the way the Demos feel, the next in line is the guy from Cali...a guy, not a gal...

Taking a week off from hitting the links...friends from Oregon in, one of the 4some is on a cruise, and other is doing doctor stuff...so, the pool is warm, at 84*...and we are using it...put up the tree...and now, the Santa's go up today...we are going to push the button on the Holiday Season...anything to change the gloom...and doom...

We watched a mini-series on the Zodiac...Netflix...what the?...how can anyone, escape the findings of that police department for sooooo long...and yet, still a no...this was in the 60's...the brutal murders...and the killer sent letters to the SF papers...I can only write I-N-E-P-T!...

I think one of the hardest things to do in cinema...well, perhaps, tv....series...is writing the final episode...I would say over half are simply lame...

Oh my, is this the end of the MAGA caps?...or must you continue to wear your Rajneeshi red?...

Is a series better than a movie?...

STILL, has anyone seen Mark Meadows?...even after the trump win?...

The NBA season is in full swing...and the Horse hasn't seen but a few minutes of it...too early...the football season is front and center...oh yea, and the Ducks host Maryland Saturday....

OK, all you forevers...when do you think the prices of groceries will go down?...

Dang it Horse, you took off your blinders didn't you...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
