Halloween

'I was working in the lab, late last nite...'...of course, nothing would be the same without the immortal Bobby Boris Pickett and the Crypt Kicker Five, singing the 'Monster Mash'...it is a tradition...for this day...Halloween...sure, there are others, but man, this just is the bomb...rad...far out...the dope...groovy...just plain stupid...you hip?...

Gone are our days of handing out candy to the kids...condo life stifles that...BUT, last nite's World Series game 5...still had it...talk about gift giving...as the Damn Yankees were up and cruising 5-0...in the 5th...some incredible errors happened...gifts for the Dodgers...a routine fly ball DROPPED by CF Judge...a horrific throwing error by the SS...and then, perhaps the worst...SP Cole failed to cover 1st on a dribbler to 1B...all safe...and the gifts proved costly...like 5 runs...and the MOMENTUM had shifted...these plays usually never happen...stress and pressure adds to confusion...the NY team did not deserve to play on...

As per usual, the hometown of the winning team...goes thru some type of ritual...tear down the city...I shall never get this...as LA is enduring a mob out of control in their 'elation'...too bad...

The pundits were praising to the high hilt, the best team in Pro Hoops...how few could beat them...the last season champs, Boston Celtics...I laughed this am, as I read that they got beat last evening...pundits are just talkers...like you and me...they know nuttin'...but get PAID for their 'analysis'...however faulty it may be... 

Just days now...days...until E Day...as we embrace ourselves for the verdict...the jury, the people, shall decide...wish I could tell you what is going to happen...I can't...my tea leaves are gone...the crystal ball is dead...I, like you, just hope and ...if you do, pray...for the right verdict...if you haven't yet, VOTE!...

Looked at my calendar...flu and covid shots today...then, a bit later...pay them damn bills...this Halloween doesn't look like fun for the Horse...

And yes...the year's best 2 baseball teams, were the champs, the Dodgers, and the Friars...

Geez, Kershaw looks like a 50+ year old codger...er, Dodger...put your jersey back on, dude...

This week's college gems...Air Force at Army...Duke at Miami...Ohio St at Penn St...The Ducks at Michigan...Indiana at Mich St...and Pitt at SMU...
