Celebration!



Hail Mary!...wait, a Hail Mary?...alas, in the Bear/Commodore (?)...NFL game yesterday...the DC team was down to exactly that...a long touchdown pass...that, surprisingly, works more than one would think...of course, it all has to work out just right...the D has to rush 2 or 3...which Chicago did...the rest of the defense backs up into or around the end zone...they did, with one exception...one bloke was dancing for the home teams' crowd...singing 'it's all over'...then, oops, he had to get into the play...now, it's the perfect time for the refs to turn blind eye to obvious holding by the O line...which they did, and the refs did...the QB roamed about seemingly forever...then LAUNCHED the football...which was batted up in the air, to a very happy DC end...for the easiest TD he shall ever catch...and the CELEBRATION was on for the home team...a miracle win...

Listen, kids...I will never understand defensive coaches...rush a bunch, make the QB panic and throw right away...don't they get it?...nope...some D guru says that is wrong...rush a few, and get back and play prevent...football coaches...there are a bunch of 'em...and too many stay in the past...

Hey, when you say 'Hail Mary', what on earth?...there is a story that illuminates the phrase...back in the Dallas Cowboy days...like when they were America's team...now, they are turrible...but, they pulled of a last second bomb to win a game...and the Cowboy QB was Roger Staubach...he was asked by a reporter, what were you thinking?...his response "I was a Catholic kid from Cincinnati, when I closed my eyes I said a Hail Mary"...then, it became what it is...for all others...you just knew it had to be Bible related...

What on earth is going on with Shohei?...it appeared that he was done...kaput...the way, he was walking so gingerly off the field...well, we all felt he was gonna be in the OR...another apparent Hail Mary...the Trolley Dodgers say he is going to play today after all...pain must not be a strength of the dude...

Another Hail Mary?...trump's rally at MSG in Manhattan...thing is, he was throwing out misguided messages...his base ate it up, the rest of us?...nope...and how on earth can Melania stand by that foo?...has she no shame?...

Finished 'Your Honor'...hmmm...guess it all makes sense...kind of opened the door for a season 3...to date, none on the way...however, I wouldn't be surprised if they do another...

So now...we watch...the final days of campaigning...what might transpire?...it's all up to us...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
