And The Horse You Rode In On

Greetings all...we decided to skip Huntington and drive all the way back in one full swoop...thus, I skipped the post yesterday...and man, was the Horse tired...weirdest part of the trip, was the heavy winds by the ocean, between Ventura and Malibu...knocked Cosmo around pretty good...er, bad...badly...2 hands on the wheel...plus constant comments of 'wow'...

Well, it was a great time to see the Ducks dominate the Boilermakers...shut them out...a feat that is rare in these times of football...a Duck Feat (LOL)...ah, perhaps, The Duck Feat...is better...

One other common thing while on the road...drinking coffee...most often from a one cup machine...it's the eye opener...then, when possible, a stop at Starbucks...there is very little there, which is sugar free...so, it is the Americano for moi...so, when home, I grind my own beans...and it does taste just dandy...deep, rich, French style...dark...a must... 

The news today...had info of a drone strike...this time headed towards Israel...thru the 'Iron Shield' and aimed at Netanyahu's home...early reports say no damage...what a way to live in the Middle East...shots fired every which way...yes, it will get worse...imagine...

17 days left until Election Day...nail biting time for everyone...by all 'insider' reports, this will be a very close one...still can't believe ANYONE would vote for trump...VOTE!...assume nothing...

The WNBA comes down to one game...winner take all...c'mon Sabrina...Sunday at 5 pm, our coast time...in NY...I will watch this...

The MLB semi's...the Trolley Dodgers up 3 games to 2...and the Damn Yankees are up 3-1...gots to figure they will end up in the World Series...in subliminal words, the 2 richest, highest paid teams...will meet up...

The grand kids are growing sooooo much....both going to school now...we do love them so much...Cy is also playing soccer and baseball...Cas, waiting in the wings...wants to get out there badly...

Snow in Oregon?...seems impossible at this date...and down in Florida, another storm brewing in those warm waters...this time they start with an N and O...as the Floridians are hoping for just a NO!...no mas...

One final thought line...the sudden retirement of Virginia's hoop coach, Tony Bennett...not the singer, you foos...his reasoning is the way of the NCAA nowadays...the payment of players, the ease of transferring from one school to another...it has, in his words 'gotten out of hand'...really, what have you done for me lately, coach?...get on me, and I am leaving to USC...I make more than you do...in some cases, yes...the NCAA went from very stringent to very LAX...yes, kids, it has gotten out of control...and Tony, doesn't want to deal with it any more...enough is enough...

Good morning all, from the great state of Oregon...this whole trip is about FRIENDS!...meeting up with peops we have been with over our years in the PNW...and for Boss's reunion....the opening act was a combo party of the two at this pad, a bar, called Johnny's...simply said, it was fun... The stories were there, the faces remained the same...and it tickled moi, that so many FRIENDS showed up...unfortunately, I did not get enough time to talk to all, please forgive me...when you go back some 60 years, my memory does fade a tad...well, and so does their's...ha ha...believe me, it was worth the trip... Boss was one of the belles of the ball...yes, she still looks great...you know that....well, the rest of her class did not know that, until last eve...she was flitting (flirting) about so...which made me smile...and that is only the beginning of it...the REAL reunion is tonight...one of my FRIENDS reminded me that is the gals reunion...which I think is most reunions...it is for...

When the thesaurus ran it's new version...it highlighted the word 'oration'...and there it was ... President Barack Obama...and then there is more..... see...Michelle Obama ...these two have the fundamental prowess of giving speeches...at the right time...at the right place... No better example of this, than last night at the DNC...each were marvelous...of course ...it's what people, special people, like these two...do...carry a message across the Nation...that we all can not only understand, but agree with... For seemingly years, the Horse has said...that if Michelle O wanted to be in the White House, AGAIN...this time as the President, and not the wife...she could ...however, for right now...she is supporting the right choice...for this time of the history of our country....
