A White Sport Coat


A white sport coat and a pink carnation...I'm all dressed up for the _________...ah, the perfectly melodious song by Marty Robbins...yes, sirreee, kids...back in 1957...might this be, what the Horse will wear on November 6?...geez, I don't know...the results of any presidential election are ALWAYS a mystery to me...

My biggest surprise was when Barack Obama won...it was a glorious nite...the smile I had lasted for weeks, weeks, I tell ya...I was stumped by the time trump won...had no idea what he would bring to the White House...a month later, it was obvious...

So, in the final week of campaigning...we watch and listen...to those of you who have yet to VOTE...just make sure you do...

I must relent to this...it is the will of the people...the outcome...

Oh my...the Trolley Dodgers are making this World Series seem like a done deal...with some really really outstanding pitching...much the same way they beat my Friars...who, by the way, were the 2nd best team in MLB...F squared...ah, Freddie Freeman, is going where no other has....3 dingers in 3 games...another chance for the Damn Yankees today...if a no show, it's a sweep...and that NY MGR will be a goner...

7/12 of the WNBA head coaches have been fired...what?...what have you done for me lately?...this has to be the grossest manipulation of power, in any sport...the owners...in fact, the owners should have fired the real culprits of the league...58% of the league refs...

You know, back in the day...there was this notion that basketball needed 3 refs to see better....the Horse thinks just the opposite...do what soccer does, and have ONE ref...

Is it weird that there is nothing happening in the Iran/Israel skirmish?...well, it is worse than that word description...but, still...

Are confidence and arrogance related?...

The Miami Heat honored their former superstar, Dwayne Wade, with a statue of him...HOWEVER, it is the most gross thing I have ever seen...in this day and age, of AI and all...there is no excuse for this likeness...

Doctor (?) Phil...where did he get his degree?...trump university?...if you have ever been counseled by this fraud, think again...

For all of you chefs out there in the Horse World...I have been reading up on a thing that just kills me stomach...but, I lurve it...that thing that makes Italian food, Italian...GARLIC...the printed word, is that the jarred garlic is not any where close to the fresh cracked and sliced version...what say you?...so much easier to use...

After this and that, the Horse is back down to 220...man, need to crack that barrier...by Xmas, 215?...

I did watch and listen to Michele Obama give her accolades speech about Kamala...if she ever wants to enter the presidential wannabes...she has my vote, as soon as she announces...

Did you see this?...60 Minutes did an article about the US Coast Guard...the guys and gals, that go out and save countless numbers of boaters lives...there is a special breed of them, that most vie for...called 'The Surfmen'...terrific piece...

Well, kids, we have a week to go...if you haven't yet...VOTE!...and encourage all your friends, too...to do so...assume nothing...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
