Top of the morning, to you all...it's a Weekend!...I suppose that shouldn't be capitalized, but these are my rules...so much has gone on, just from yesterday...some more important things, than others...depends on how one thinks...

The Israeli armament has indeed killed the Hezbollah leader, in one of their strikes on Lebanon...OK, then, now stop...back off...you want how the UN feels about Israel...peer in on the moment that Netanyahu takes the stage in Manhattan...they, like the trump crowd, walk out...enough is enough...this, my good friends, is just so combustible, I can't fathom the next step...but, I have a guess...Iran...

The latest storm...that has ripped thru the Gulf of Mexico, and has driven straight up the South...devastating...and the warm waters of the world, are upon us, kids...what you say about global warming?...it's here...

Not sure if golf is your fancy...but, hey, it's my blog...the Prez Cup...the 1st day, USA swept all 5 matches...the 2nd day, the International Team swept all five...talk about cool play, and team...this is being held in Montreal...shown on the Golf Channel...

What on earth was that?...the Miami/Virginny Tech football game last eve...some blatantly horrific refereeing...one way...none worse than the phantom holding call, on a Tech TD...hmmm...wonder who had $ on what...with all the cash flow in collegiate sports now, nothing would surprise me...this one stunk to high heaven...how high is heaven?...

Gots to talk Friars...not only did we win last eve in Arizona...but, the Mets lost...and thus...we host the 1st game of the Wild Card Playoff...did I hear Tuesday?...just speculating...it's a best of 3 series...so, holding the home court advantage, is HUGE!...I think...

A shoo in for MVP, is the Bum's highest paid player, Shohei Ohtani...the real deal...and the biggest bust of all time?...his old team mate at the Cali Angels, Mike Trout...who seemingly is always injured...hmmm, AJ, see if you can get him as the permanent DH...

You know, I try to keep up on my old home town...but, the news out of the local rag there...the Statesman, is so sketchy online...day old, if not older, is what they publish...too bad, as it is a lifeline for a city...does someone have a blog for Salem, Oregon news I can check out?...

Guess I am old fashioned...but, the card is really a special thing...hardly anyone does that in these web net days...

Hey, you read so much about the $ in collegiate sports...how players are getting paid to play...and you see this anagram...NIL...do you know what it means?...'Name, Image, Likeness'...it's LIKE what trump has tried with his trading cards, his shoes, his bible, and his 'wife' writing a book...ah, what?...well, sort of...

The UO Ducks are in LaLa Land tonight...game time is like 8?...playing them Bruins...8?...man, it's almost by bed time...you do know I am an elder...

Speaking of that...Shania is almost unrecognizable...too much of the face change...well, for moi...for her?...guess not...

Threads has this thing, where peops post the top whatever...and in Oregon, it had a 'poll' that said the top team that their people follow is...the Trailblazers...I dunno...many I know, follow the Mariners...the 49ers...the Ducks...the Beavers...what say you?...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
