Why Were We There?

Isn't that a titillating thing to enter with...'Why were we there?'...thinking that most are asking the question, 'back to Oregon?'...no, it is on a totally another minuscule thing that happened...you see, while we showered at the Gahr's Bend Palace, their shower thinger, that kept the water from splashing everywhere...had a map of the world on it...and, of course, the Horse...would spend his time not only cleansing himself, but gander at the World before him...and wonder 'Why on earth were we way over in Vietnam in the 1st place?'...yes, sure, the bloody domino theory...but, really, WTF?...going that far, and losing so many lives, theirs and ours...without a doubt, the biggest blunder in the history of the USA....well, right after eradication all us Injuns...

One more map thang...Ukraine is HUGE, and Russia is biting off a bit more than they can handle...

OK, back to the here and now...the Friends Trip was a huge success...we saw so many Friends, and it was a blast...from the past...the one thing missing, was something that the Boss came up with...music...we heard little of it...even in her reunion...anyhoo, the time spent there, was bodacious...

The Redmond Airport...will be our target the next time we travel up there...WAD...easy to get in and out...and a terrific lounge...so, the next reunion is mine, and I figure that's where we shall fly into...just so much easier...hopefully, not rent a humongous truck, too...

Was totally afraid of this...the weigh in...and I am so happy...223...up 1 pound...I feared so much more...we did the best we could, considering...

The West MLB...Friars won, the Bums beat the DBacks 100-99, something like that...and now we are tied with Zona...

I must refer to Bend again...it is so youngish and vibrant...yes, it makes you feel younger...will say the golfing dudes, are the same...arrogant and nasty...which is purnt near everywhere...YET...much younger than the blokes I play with...Boss just hates me to say this...if we ever move again, that would be my choice...not hers...

OK, what's happening next?...the bills...the clothes...the super market...the rest...yup, back to normalcy...one more thing...Snookis, the dishes made the trip without breakage!...thanks again...

Good morning all, from the great state of Oregon...this whole trip is about FRIENDS!...meeting up with peops we have been with over our years in the PNW...and for Boss's reunion....the opening act was a combo party of the two at this pad, a bar, called Johnny's...simply said, it was fun... The stories were there, the faces remained the same...and it tickled moi, that so many FRIENDS showed up...unfortunately, I did not get enough time to talk to all, please forgive me...when you go back some 60 years, my memory does fade a tad...well, and so does their's...ha ha...believe me, it was worth the trip... Boss was one of the belles of the ball...yes, she still looks great...you know that....well, the rest of her class did not know that, until last eve...she was flitting (flirting) about so...which made me smile...and that is only the beginning of it...the REAL reunion is tonight...one of my FRIENDS reminded me that is the gals reunion...which I think is most reunions...it is for...

When the thesaurus ran it's new version...it highlighted the word 'oration'...and there it was ... President Barack Obama...and then there is more..... see...Michelle Obama ...these two have the fundamental prowess of giving speeches...at the right time...at the right place... No better example of this, than last night at the DNC...each were marvelous...of course ...it's what people, special people, like these two...do...carry a message across the Nation...that we all can not only understand, but agree with... For seemingly years, the Horse has said...that if Michelle O wanted to be in the White House, AGAIN...this time as the President, and not the wife...she could ...however, for right now...she is supporting the right choice...for this time of the history of our country....
