Thursday Tidbits

Morning, children...it is Thursday,  August 15...and we are 1 week away from our PNW trip...is there any way we can hasten the departure?...as we indeed did find some effects of the water explosion...in our condo...and thus, we have a multitude of fans screaming in our home...we would like to vacate the premises...ASAP...this is simply awful...

That being said, the Friars are another thing...winning again, in a laugher...swept the Buccos...and now head on out to Denver...the DBacks won, too...and we are tied...BUT, the Bums got beat, and we are now...duh duh, duh duh, 2 1/2 games back...the hits just keep right on a truckin'...

Speaking of hits, my absolute favorite time for the music...the years of '62 and '63...just absolutely love so many of those tunes...and their melodies...none better than 'Sukiyaki'...have no idea what he was singing, but the song was riveting...and is riveted in my brain...LOVE IT!...sung by Kyu Sakamoto...whose real name was Hisashi Sakamoto...he died in a plane crash in 1985...BTW, there were 519 others on that flight...deadliest single aircraft accident in history....

400,000 estimated as DEAD in the Gaza...what?...how many lives do you need to kill, Netanyahu?...we support Israel, but...c'mon...enough is enough...

You know, I have debated this issue for years now...trump likes to call out the press...terms them 'Fake News'...points at them in the back of the room...I, the Horse, have the solution...quit covering him...don't send anyone out...no commentators, no cameras...nuttin...who cares what he is lying about, as the World is fed up with the perpetual prevaricator...5 stars for this, Horse...

Set your calendar...the VP debate is October 1, on CBS...

Was skimming thru channels...watched a horse race...and heard this hoss name...'Muffin Nuts'...man, one of my fav names ever...BTW, came in 2nd...'and here comes Muffin Nuts!'...

How about this...the new coach of the Chargers...Jim Harbaugh, offered a coaching job to the embattled by the league, Colin Kaepernick...coach of what?...

Now THIS is a true tidbit...the Horse was an avid follower of heavyweight boxing...and now, it is gone...all gone...Ali, Frazier, Liston, Patterson, Louis, Lennox, Tyson, the list goes on and on...and the one that I still recall...was Butterbean...

Good morning all, from the great state of Oregon...this whole trip is about FRIENDS!...meeting up with peops we have been with over our years in the PNW...and for Boss's reunion....the opening act was a combo party of the two at this pad, a bar, called Johnny's...simply said, it was fun... The stories were there, the faces remained the same...and it tickled moi, that so many FRIENDS showed up...unfortunately, I did not get enough time to talk to all, please forgive me...when you go back some 60 years, my memory does fade a tad...well, and so does their's...ha ha...believe me, it was worth the trip... Boss was one of the belles of the ball...yes, she still looks great...you know that....well, the rest of her class did not know that, until last eve...she was flitting (flirting) about so...which made me smile...and that is only the beginning of it...the REAL reunion is tonight...one of my FRIENDS reminded me that is the gals reunion...which I think is most reunions...it is for...

When the thesaurus ran it's new version...it highlighted the word 'oration'...and there it was ... President Barack Obama...and then there is more..... see...Michelle Obama ...these two have the fundamental prowess of giving speeches...at the right time...at the right place... No better example of this, than last night at the DNC...each were marvelous...of course ...it's what people, special people, like these two...do...carry a message across the Nation...that we all can not only understand, but agree with... For seemingly years, the Horse has said...that if Michelle O wanted to be in the White House, AGAIN...this time as the President, and not the wife...she could ...however, for right now...she is supporting the right choice...for this time of the history of our country.... Tonight, we hear another exceptional orator...President Bill Clinton ...it's almost like taking a class in college...Speech 101...BTW, I was turrible at it...just in case you were wondering......
