The Reckoning



I admit it, the Horse is biased...so you forevers might just stop reading me today...right now...the 1st night of the DNC...was exhilarating!...so much so, they had to bump the star singing JT...James Taylor...the speeches were sometimes, daring...but always, on point...Coach Steve Kerr, got me rocking...ending with the Steph Curry 'night night' to trump, after the final votes are counted...loved it, and screamed in the living room...was a tad bit worried on Hils....Hillary, that is...and not be just, she was terrific...there were others that were carrying the message...the best of the rest?...the cat from Georgia...Senator Ralph Warnock...he has to have some pastor background, right?...an intense view from the south...lord, he was spellbinding...the nite ended with Prez B, doing his thing...I thought he was shouting, rather than talking...that made it not as good as it could have been...listen, kids, it's my take...don't be mad at me...

Tonight, the slate is as good, if not better...as the Obamas take the stage...I, yes moi, can hardly wait...as the transition is on the path of success...nobody can orate like Prez O, Barack...

Back to the baseball...all 3 teams from the west won...and the race remains the same...the Bums three up on the Friars, 4 up on the DBacks...think all 3 teams are scoreboard watching?...duh...listen, all them pundits are expecting the high priced Dodgers to waltz right into the league championship...let's ruin their party...

Speaking of parties...Boss and I head north in a few days...her 50th reunion, and we also meet with our friends at Johnny's...a bar, that is owned by one of my former players...he is kind enough to reserve a spot for us...I figure 10 or so...Friday at 4, hope to see you all there...Saturday is the reunion...then we head on over to the coast and stay at where we honeymooned...really...finish it all off, with a whirlwind trip to Bend to meet up with them Gahrs and Crosses...so fun...and we must thank our gracious hosts, the Snookis...who put up with us, while in Salem...whew, can we do all that?...

Oh yea, and I doubt that we stay on our highly regimented diet...starting off right away with a Padington's pizza...a must do...

Double checking everything today...charging the stuff...need cash...gots to get a new pair of jeans...ah, the body has shrunk...hmmm, maybe they won't fit after we eat in Orygun...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
