The Novel Writer


The essence of literature...the ability to write a book...like really, donald...not have some ghost writer do it for you, and you pay him for it...and call it your own...I digress...this art of using words to capture the reader's imagination...I am kind of laughing, as I recall a song by the Beatles 'Paperback Writer'...but here, in my retirement years...I have turned to reading books...some are factual, called Non-fiction....which may grab you...the ones that tickle me, are the fiction books...the Novels...

Some of you out there prefer the e-books...in fact I bought 2 of them...very handy and dandy...BUT, I prefer the hard copy...not sure why...it's not the pictures, as there are rarely any...ha ha...for some reason, it just draws me back...faster...my preference, is the who-done-it ones...especially, the taxing to figure out beauties...

For the highly intellectual, deep reading passionate reader...there are cats that I wouldn't even fathom wasting my precious and few hours trying to figure out...what the author is trying to say...and don't even get me going on Shakespeare and that sort of thang...somebody determined that we all should know about that...back in my school days...JCC....I could care less, then...and now...

John Grisham...has appealed to me, more than anyone...I may have read all his novels...and now...I am into this bloke called James Patterson...who has written over 200...what?...same age as moi, and has a style that, at first, bothered me...he writes in short chapters...now, I am used to it...after but 2, he has used the same characters in each...not sure if it's a pattern...however, like Grisham's, they are fast reads...my petulant kick of keeping everything simple...ah, KISS...once finished, I am happy and satisfied...

Yes, the Horse has written a book...a novel...it was drivel...the typing of it, was the downfall...I have one crooked finger, which lines up with one crooked eye...takes me forever to write, what I think...thus, the Blog is much easier...and even easier to correct...my mind is wild, but my typing, not so much...any Ghosts out there?...

Pivoting...

The Friars are on this gut wrenching train...having to win, to stay up with them Bums and DBacks...who are on the same train...we ALL are chugging along...something's got to give...probably will hit the same crossroad, when we play each other...for us, one more with Pitt today...then off to the great state of Colorado, where we will take on the lightning and the Buddy Black's Rockies...

You watching them polls, Bozo?...yup, you are...that's why you want to debate, like 3 times...ha ha...that is, if you are not incarcerated...which would be a real dilemma...you would be in the slammer, Kamala would be at the podium...thing is, you would be white, and not orange...except for what you are wearing...

You should see all the tearing out of the home...all around us...ie, the drywall, now...we were so lucky...and can hardly wait to fly out next week...to get away from all this...

Are you as confused as I as to what Ukraine is doing?...marching into Russia...is the goal to keep on going to Moscow?...and, just south of there...Iran is boasting they are about to attack Israel...that whole area is totally combustible...

Finally, the Boyz and I are waiting til Friday....to make sure there is no Covid amongst the group...another day without golf...yes, the Horse has withdrawals...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
