The Friends Tour Winds Down

Morning all, from the very cool morning in Central Oregon...on it's way to like 86*...as we wind down the FRIENDS TOUR...well, there was a blip in the road...ah, more than that...a crash that killed a driver, and shut down the Hwy 20...so we had to backtrack...and went back to Snookis for the nite...'We're back!'...much to their chagrin...thus, one less day at the Gahrs...

Highlight of the day, was a convertible ride in their '66 Bonny...oops, '66 Catalina...to the Sunriver Lodge...where we used to own a lot and a condo...back in the day...the weather is totally bodacious...shortly thereafter, the Crosses arrived and we talked and ate (perhaps enjoyed a beverage, or two)...and reminisced so...terrific to catch up and laugh...today, the ladies go to Eagle Crest and bike...and the guys play golf at Bend CC...where I have to rent clubs...and balls, and shoot...you know I have a built in excuse to play like Bozo...

10 weeks to go until Election Day...BUT, the next month of September....will be tale telling...as trump must endure the fraud trial sentencing...and the on again, off again, debate...if he is out of the slammer...and if he will show...ha ha...I read from Reuters that Kamala has surged up 4 points on donny...keep the faith, Harris/Walz voters...

Big hubbub...as the local cable company in Salem, Comcast...does NOT carry the Big Ten...which now means, they don't carry the Duck games...and Snooki and the masses are up in arms...they can't see the Oregon/Idaho game...this Saturday...Coach Cross said to pay for Peacock...that it carries the channel...wonder if ours back home, COX, carries it... 

Not sure if I talked about this...but we did visit our old neighbor from the hood...Roz and Rich Owen...in Lincoln City...they have a splendid 'compound' there...and yes, the weather at the coast was unbelievable...we shall return...

Anyhoo, we wrap up the Tour today...and fly back down south tomorrow...

Good morning all, from the great state of Oregon...this whole trip is about FRIENDS!...meeting up with peops we have been with over our years in the PNW...and for Boss's reunion....the opening act was a combo party of the two at this pad, a bar, called Johnny's...simply said, it was fun... The stories were there, the faces remained the same...and it tickled moi, that so many FRIENDS showed up...unfortunately, I did not get enough time to talk to all, please forgive me...when you go back some 60 years, my memory does fade a tad...well, and so does their's...ha ha...believe me, it was worth the trip... Boss was one of the belles of the ball...yes, she still looks great...you know that....well, the rest of her class did not know that, until last eve...she was flitting (flirting) about so...which made me smile...and that is only the beginning of it...the REAL reunion is tonight...one of my FRIENDS reminded me that is the gals reunion...which I think is most reunions...it is for...

When the thesaurus ran it's new version...it highlighted the word 'oration'...and there it was ... President Barack Obama...and then there is more..... see...Michelle Obama ...these two have the fundamental prowess of giving speeches...at the right time...at the right place... No better example of this, than last night at the DNC...each were marvelous...of course ...it's what people, special people, like these two...do...carry a message across the Nation...that we all can not only understand, but agree with... For seemingly years, the Horse has said...that if Michelle O wanted to be in the White House, AGAIN...this time as the President, and not the wife...she could ...however, for right now...she is supporting the right choice...for this time of the history of our country....
