The DNC


Am going to start this, but will not finish before I have to get on out to Singing Hills...as we prep for the Democratic National Convention...set IN Chicago...where I can recall the '68 version of it...where the people were divided again...those who wanted war and those who didn't...it was a bloodbath....that time it was the Vietnam one...WAR, what is it good for, absolutely nuttin'...

The list of speakers, is a good one...and the passing of the torch is tonight from Prez B to VP Kamala Harris...also, speaking is Hillary....tomorrow is both Michele and Prez Barack Obama...imagine that to be a dandy...Wednesday is Prez Clinton...along with VP candy man Tim Walz...and then, Thursday, is all Kamala...who spoke for the RNC?...can't recall...did Prez Bush?...nope...in fact NO ONE of any significance...duh...well, the rassler Hulk Hogan...

A very disturbing thing happened...as we were minding our own biz...a MAGA tried to confront us...to debate?...well, they said they wouldn't do so...and continued right one spewing out hatred left and right...well, mostly from the right...Boss was fuming, yet kept her cool...and I was doing the smile and get out of my face routine...there is no debating a radical...just, stay out of my space...

Let's get into sports...

The ebbs and flow of the round of golf....as Matsuyama lost it, and then found it on the last 2 holes...and won the 1st round of the PGA T...good on him...clutch...

Yup, we have trouble with them lowly Rockies...lost 3-2...and the series...and now are back 3 again...dang...

Bo Nix, the rookie QB from Denver, via them Ducks...has been looking awesome...no surprise here...BTW, I did auto pick on my FF team...have the Bengals QB and the rookie QB from the Bears...since I fired HC Barney Fife, am still looking for a newbie...did interview Gomer Pyle...I will give you a Natty announcement when I make the choice...

Yes, so the Horse is now tired...18 holes of golf, swimming for the sake of the Boss...and it is hot...well, 80 something...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
