The Olympics Begin

Every 4 years...the world gets together...and the countries put forth their best athletes to compete....it is a grandiose deal...THE OLYMPICS!...this time in Paris, France...quite often the USA is a favorite to win the most medals...Russia, too...seems like there is something of interest for everyone...the water sports, the track and field, the hoops, the soccer, gymnastics, the golf...man, the list just goes on and on...and for the 1st time ever, there are as many women athletes as men...many people just like the opening ceremonies...

Alas, with the chaos that predominates the earth now...there are already glitches...the rail system has been harpooned...so, movement is at a standstill...the word out is that there are mucho hotel rooms still available...and flights not filled...is it $, or the fear of traveling there...?...or, both?...well, we shall watch whatever we can...NBC and Peacock...what a name, right?...4:30?...something like that...

What a game for our number one chucker, Dylan Cease!...the Friars, kids...as he threw the 2nd no hit game in the history of the San Diego franchise...in DC...the Mgr wanted to pull him after the 7th, but, over his dead body, would that happen...he threw a 100 mph fast ball on his 110th pitch...he was in the...zone!...we remain on the road, and head on over to Baltimore for another set...as, we have to stay out of town cuz of the Comic-Con...BTW, Cease has allowed but 2 hits over the last 3 games he has pitched!!!...that has to be some type of record...


I can not tell you how happy I am with the Demos right now...exceedingly so...naming VP Kamala Harris as the candidate...the topper?...Barack and Michele Obama just endorsed her...it will be a raucous road to victory....but, with Bozo talking, and Kamala dissecting, we are going to be just fine....just keep talking trump, keep talking...

Verizon...keeps offering terrific deals to switch out to the iPhone 15...as long as we keep our plan intact...thing is, I like my 13....some say to wait on the 16...any of you have input?...

NFL...the camps have begun...and the elongated season is about to commence...now at 17 games...the league wants to expand to 18...you know, they really want 20...man, that takes a terrific toll on the body...in that sport...which is the no. 1 watching and betting sport in the land...YET, the Horse prefers the College games more...I do...the Ducks...of course, you already know that...

Must do some talk about the Jet's QB Rodgers...he had the achilles tear in game 1 last season...I believe he had it mended, but not via surgery, right?...if so, his days are limited and all his hoorah shall be short lived...he is an oddball...my son tried that, and soon after, it tore again...and he had to have it surgically put back together...

Del Mar racing is a going on...I am trying to get Boss out there sometime this week...seeing those unbelievable animals up close...amazing...these are the best in the land, kids...right, and I drop a quid or two on the races....

Our old stupid tv in the bedroom...takes like 4 or 5 or 6 times to get it to turn on...damn, when we got the new teevee for the living room, I gave away the replaced set...which is much newer than the one we have in the bedroom, duh...looks like I have to get a new one....this time, will be a cheapie...like a QLED Insignia, or Fire or Hisense...all for less than $400...gonna hold out until the light doesn't shine...you do know, we are on a fixed income...

I see that Melania is going to put her memoirs out in book form...soon...hmmm, a ghost writer?...duh...does she have a green card?...did she pass the citizenship test?...probably not covered in her book...let's see, he sold trump basketball shoes, trump trading cards, trump Bibles, even trump mug shot t shirts...now he is siphoning off of Melania...what's the title?...'I Really Don't Care, Do U?'...

Good morning all, from the great state of Oregon...this whole trip is about FRIENDS!...meeting up with peops we have been with over our years in the PNW...and for Boss's reunion....the opening act was a combo party of the two at this pad, a bar, called Johnny's...simply said, it was fun... The stories were there, the faces remained the same...and it tickled moi, that so many FRIENDS showed up...unfortunately, I did not get enough time to talk to all, please forgive me...when you go back some 60 years, my memory does fade a tad...well, and so does their's...ha ha...believe me, it was worth the trip... Boss was one of the belles of the ball...yes, she still looks great...you know that....well, the rest of her class did not know that, until last eve...she was flitting (flirting) about so...which made me smile...and that is only the beginning of it...the REAL reunion is tonight...one of my FRIENDS reminded me that is the gals reunion...which I think is most reunions...it is for...

When the thesaurus ran it's new version...it highlighted the word 'oration'...and there it was ... President Barack Obama...and then there is more..... see...Michelle Obama ...these two have the fundamental prowess of giving speeches...at the right time...at the right place... No better example of this, than last night at the DNC...each were marvelous...of course ...it's what people, special people, like these two...do...carry a message across the Nation...that we all can not only understand, but agree with... For seemingly years, the Horse has said...that if Michelle O wanted to be in the White House, AGAIN...this time as the President, and not the wife...she could ...however, for right now...she is supporting the right choice...for this time of the history of our country....
