For all of youse out there, that have ever played cards...this is for you...my favorite two, are the King and Queen of Hearts...they were foundational for most of my games...if I drew them, I was in good shape...what?...cards...playing cards...52 of 'em...
It started way back in my youth...my mother was a huge influencer...what you say?...it was her way of gathering people together...around her old oak table...we would play silly games...that anyone could play...it was a mixer...and I can still see her laugh and laugh, when she would lay a bad card on me...can't recall the name of the game...but, it was fun...
Which led me to bigger games...poker and the like...all for small bits of cash...Reno, Tahoe, friends playing poker...it was a blast...then, as we aged...we turned to Vegas...my game of games, was and is 'Let It Ride'...you can play a long time, before your empire is depleted...in fact, we went enough times to get comped....at the Mirage...now, we were not 'Whales' like the Martins...but, we still got 2 and 3 days of free rooms...
However, the journey there has ended...they have shuttered their doors...sold to the Hard Rock...and we are now, out of freebies...no more King and Queen of Hearts, for moi....wonder where all those workers go...
Are you watching The Open?...how hard is too hard...even for them Pros...as some are using driver-driver on par 4's and still...short!...miserable bloody weather...and I for one...hate playing in that...it's not golf...anyhoo, there are like 10 guys who could get this...and for the final round in Scotland, there is to be 'nice' weather....whatever that is for them...
Saw just a bit of the W All Star game...and the rookies beat the Olympic Team...and from what I saw, quite easily...who picked the Oly Team anyway?...and the guys Olympic Team...favored by 43 1/2 over South Sudan, and barely won by a last second shot by LeBron....is there a North Sudan?...this Oly Team needs to step up and play to their potential...did watch this, and the SS team was on fire...USA was lucky to win...
So it was the Friars turn to win by the 7-0 score...starting pitcher, Dylan Cease, only gave up 1 hit...SD is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get...
For clarity to all, and to you, Chief Donny...the rapid fire gun is my problem...well, the Nation's...too many of them out there...too easy to get...and for goodness sakes, why does the common man NEED one?...somebody should ask trump that question...
