The HEAT!


Listening and hearing about the unbelievable HEAT that most of the country is going thru...egads...100* +...what the heck?...it was 92* out at Singing Hills, too...yesterday...BUT, here in the Marina District, in downtown San Diego...we are in the 70's...so, you can guess the outcome of that...we are slammed with people from inland...especially the fat cats from Arizona...

Which, coincidentally, have their beloved Snakes in town to take on the Friars...the crowd was the most ever for a Padre game...over 47,000!...and all were treated to a donnybrook...SD was up 7-2 in the 9th...and lo and behold, the DBacks came alive and hit 2 dingers, one a grand salammy...and we were down 8-7...and the Arizoneans in the park, were going bat shit crazy...ie, rocking our near flawless closer...the Horse had had enough...turned the game off and went to bed...downtrodden...talk about the weather...I am officially a fair weather fan...as, here came back the Friars in the bottom of the 9th...All Star Jurickson Profar, quickly tied it with a tater of his own...and then...the topper...Manny hit a two run home run...and it was the Padre's turn to go bonkers...of course, I was in the bed, still smoldering...the results?...never give up, Horse...

Hmmm, which is exactly what Prez B is gonna do...never give up...until the Almighty tells him to...don't know about that, but way too many people are suggesting he do so...I give this whole thing another week, and then...we shall see...

Facebook runs these things called 'reels'...and has many clips of old times...one such skit was by Foster Brooks...whose schtick is to play a drunk...like really well...this time, he was interviewed by the legendary Dean Martin...about being a DENTIST!...son, Dr Cris, you must watch this...hilarious...rivals Tim Conway, when he did the dentist thang...

Have I told you that back in Cris's dental school time in Vegas, we saw Tim Conway and Harvey Korman in concert?...slapstick at it's best...we laughed and laughed...

One more, you must find Tim Conway's skit about 'Dorf on golf'...

This hot dog eating contest...this I can't figure out...if I have 2, I am stuffed...and almost nauseous...how can one eat like 60 of them?...something is really really wrong...how does the body even accommodate that?...

BTW, I have had 4 beers in the past 11 weeks...FOUR!...that is in itself a new Horse record...

The Diet...one of the curious things...is to amplify main dishes...to entice the eating...the dinner...it's a real trick in doing so...do any of you out there have tricks that we can use?...anything, and I mean, anything...would help the cause...

Going back to my 'influencers' blog entry...all but one of the Kfam is in the top 10 followers list...guess which one...

Looks like I am checking on thangs...it's been a few weeks since we got the new Samsung Teevee...it is still amazing and well worth the change...the picture is simply mind boggling...

Breaking...there is an uptick in the Israel/Lebanon War this morning....the Hezbollah...

Storm Beryl is in the Gulf...approaching land in the USA, soon...listen, kids...the earth is heating up...

Well, it's National Fried Chicken Day...love fried chicken...not on the diet...something is wrong here...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
