Convention Time


Morning, kids...how's it shaking?...the bulk of the teevee channels, well, the major ones, are centered in on the Republican Convention...which at one time, was a bit of a drama...who was going to win the candidacy?...as this era of the elephants is all in trump's name...how he has their adoration, is beyond me...a carefully planned dissection of nearly half the nation...successfully carried out...couple that with a miraculous escape of an assassination attempt....well, he has the votes of them...perhaps, more than them...

The thing about conventions...is that there is euphoric moments in the week of the gatherings...makes no difference what side we are talking...will there be momentum afterward?...time is the key...and careful watching of what transpires...anyway, if you are a Repub, bask in the glory of your week...

The naming of trump's VP, was interesting...a very young (39) Senator from Ohio...seems about right...where was VP Pence from?...Indiana...heartland...trump's group (?) needed one from the middle states...JD Vance...who at one time, was a harsh critic of trump...but, shoot (very bad terminology), who wasn't at one stage, of his attempt at running the country?...he has seen the light, and now lookee here, he is the VP Candy man...

Did you see any of the Home Run Derby?...I got some of it...for the most part, I wasn't too knowledgable about the contestants...some Bum won, right?...OK, and the scuttlebutt, was that whoever sang the National Anthem, brutalized it...missed that part...

Today is the All Star Game...in Arlington, Texas...the Horse does follow this...but, like most all star games, just for a while...weird to see Juan Soto in it...as he wasn't star material, for the Friars...shut your mouth, Horse...

The Open is this week...at the Royal Troon...over the pond...that warm one...Scotland...Tiger is in it, so I pick him...what say yee, laddies and lassies?...

OK, gotta run...eye doctor appt...followed by a scrumptious breakfast, then...off to Costco!...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
