100 Days

That's right, kids...there are 100 days until the election...it seems and it is, a long time to go...a tad bit more than 3 months... the historical, yet repeatable, race to the highest elected position of the country...are we going to see the same two as today...in the driver's seats?...probably...yet, each and every day...we read about what is being brought up...skeletons...or downright made up innuendos...anything that might stick...this political arena, is really a mess...it's like what Chubby Checker sang about...'How Low Can You Go?'...we will see...it really is a form of 'Limbo Rock'...

Wonder if the Bums are hearing the door getting beat down by the Friars?...as the Padres won it's 7th straight...in Baltimore, the team that is one of the elite in the American League...one more today, then back home...to face the LA team....things might get very, very, interesting...who'd a thunk?...

Olympics...the guys hoops this am...vs Serbia...and the word out is...our 2 bigs, are both sick...uh oh...our depth will be tested from the get go...as I have said prior, I do not have a good feeling about this team...even when all are healthy...

Lebanon fired a rocket, that penetrated the Israel 'Iron Dome'...and struck many in Israel...you KNOW what happens next...there will be a new front for the Israelites...against the Hezzbullah...this will get ugly...wish I was wrong...

Well, we tried to get into the mix down at Comic-Con...too many bloody people...all over the place...ie, the restaurants...and bars...and well, everywhere...passed a line of the attendees, waiting on a piece of pizza...a line...out the door...too much, for us elders...we shall watch from above, in our condo...the amount of cars, trying to find a place to park...lawdy, not a spot...and all the horn honking...which makes me tell you about 4 cars that were giddy with delight...honking and waving....with signs of 'Kennedy for President'...must have been lost in the 60's...this Kennedy does not even come close to measuring up...duh...

One of the most dumb things in beisbol...by fans...throwing a home run ball, back onto the playing field...anything thrown back on the field, should be immediate ejection...ie, the ball...'yer outta here!'...

Golfism...when you hit an errant shot...and you yell 'fore!'...that makes it OK when you may hit someone...'well, I did yell, fore'...does that hold true for a house lined golf course...'fore, house on the right!'...

California just signed into law...that there are to be no homeless campsites set up in cities...down comes those bloody tents...San Diego already has this in place...for like 4 months or so...it is a welcome relief...wonder how they are going to deal with that in LA?...what is it like in your state?...

Normally, before 7 am...there is no one on the streets below...not now, as there are them Comic-Cons already in transit to the convention center...busses, too...one more day...

The itch I have...to get on out to the Del Mar races...perhaps, next Thursday...August 1...I dunno, will have to see what is on Boss's calendar...

Time to brag...down to 222...man, can't believe it...my goal?...2 mas in another 2 weeks...that would be sweet!...

Surely we care...JLo in NY, while BenLo, minus Lo, is buying a new SoLo house in LA...there seems to be a break in the love bond...now THIS is news...

The trading deadline for MLB is soon...we just picked up a reliever from the Tampa Bay Devil Rays...wait, they changed their nickname, to accommodate the mean Rays out there...we shed 3 minor leaguers (so called prospects) in the deal...OK...

Finally, it is Sunday...which means Monster Sudoku!...

Good morning all, from the great state of Oregon...this whole trip is about FRIENDS!...meeting up with peops we have been with over our years in the PNW...and for Boss's reunion....the opening act was a combo party of the two at this pad, a bar, called Johnny's...simply said, it was fun... The stories were there, the faces remained the same...and it tickled moi, that so many FRIENDS showed up...unfortunately, I did not get enough time to talk to all, please forgive me...when you go back some 60 years, my memory does fade a tad...well, and so does their's...ha ha...believe me, it was worth the trip... Boss was one of the belles of the ball...yes, she still looks great...you know that....well, the rest of her class did not know that, until last eve...she was flitting (flirting) about so...which made me smile...and that is only the beginning of it...the REAL reunion is tonight...one of my FRIENDS reminded me that is the gals reunion...which I think is most reunions...it is for...

When the thesaurus ran it's new version...it highlighted the word 'oration'...and there it was ... President Barack Obama...and then there is more..... see...Michelle Obama ...these two have the fundamental prowess of giving speeches...at the right time...at the right place... No better example of this, than last night at the DNC...each were marvelous...of course ...it's what people, special people, like these two...do...carry a message across the Nation...that we all can not only understand, but agree with... For seemingly years, the Horse has said...that if Michelle O wanted to be in the White House, AGAIN...this time as the President, and not the wife...she could ...however, for right now...she is supporting the right choice...for this time of the history of our country....
