Must lead with the NBA finals playoff...as the Boston Celtics went into Dallas, and got game number 3...no one, no team ever...in the history of the NBA, has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit...and won the championship...that being said...let's get into the game...it was a game of surges...the Mavs starting quickly...then the Celts...and in the 3rd stanza, it appeared that Boston had wrapped up the game, up by 21...and breezing...the Mavs closed back and it was a nail biter...THEN, Dr Flop, er Luka Doncic, took his team out of it...falling on 2 straight possession, tryin to flop his way to the FT line...in lieu, gave up 2 easy buckets...what is more taxing on the Mavs...he FOULED OUT with 4 minutes to go...listen, kids...for that to happen...for a guy who doesn't play a bit of defense...is truly amazing...he is a statue on D...to compare him to the Beard, that makes Hardin an all star defensive player...yup, he is that bad...THE IRONY of Luka fouling out...ah, playing defense?...

'Coaching'...this style of play is candidly 'the worst'...perhaps, a quick screen, then dribble...dribble...dribble...then, dribble some more...and chuck up a step back 3 ball...as all else on the floor...stands and watches...oh yea, and why...was Luka on the floor with 5 fouls?...it is a relatively simple thing this coach must do...and he failed...as did his team...'Coach' Kidd...

BTW, I thought that the NBA said that 'flopping' was a foul?...

As Dandy Don would sing 'turn out the lights, the party is over!'...

Guess the Horse is a sports junkie today...as the Friars swept the Homeless A's...with another game winning home run, in the bottom of the 9th!...this time, the 20 yr old CF, Jackson Merrill, hit his 2nd of the game...must mention the SP, Michael King, struck out 12 in 5 innings...and now, the flight to NY, to take on the Mets for a set....

And the Pros are in North Carolina at Pinehurst #2...they could have 10, and I wouldn't know...never been there....alas, it is the US Open...wonder who will finish 2nd to Scottie?...Tiger is in the field...

The passing of the legendary hoop star, Mr Clutch, Jerry West...at 86 years of age...for me, he had one of the purest shooting forms in the game...along with Bill Bradley, Geoff Petrie, and the Big O...

We finally are going all digital when it comes to the Trib...the local SD rag...no more paper at the door...we did subscribe via the web net...so there you go...considerably cheaper this way...and as you know, we are on a fixed income...

Good morning all, from the great state of Oregon...this whole trip is about FRIENDS!...meeting up with peops we have been with over our years in the PNW...and for Boss's reunion....the opening act was a combo party of the two at this pad, a bar, called Johnny's...simply said, it was fun... The stories were there, the faces remained the same...and it tickled moi, that so many FRIENDS showed up...unfortunately, I did not get enough time to talk to all, please forgive me...when you go back some 60 years, my memory does fade a tad...well, and so does their's...ha ha...believe me, it was worth the trip... Boss was one of the belles of the ball...yes, she still looks great...you know that....well, the rest of her class did not know that, until last eve...she was flitting (flirting) about so...which made me smile...and that is only the beginning of it...the REAL reunion is tonight...one of my FRIENDS reminded me that is the gals reunion...which I think is most reunions...it is for...

When the thesaurus ran it's new version...it highlighted the word 'oration'...and there it was ... President Barack Obama...and then there is more..... see...Michelle Obama ...these two have the fundamental prowess of giving speeches...at the right time...at the right place... No better example of this, than last night at the DNC...each were marvelous...of course ...it's what people, special people, like these two...do...carry a message across the Nation...that we all can not only understand, but agree with... For seemingly years, the Horse has said...that if Michelle O wanted to be in the White House, AGAIN...this time as the President, and not the wife...she could ...however, for right now...she is supporting the right choice...for this time of the history of our country....
