The Hits


'The hits keep right on a coming'...memories from the bygone era of AM radio, right?...Baby Boomers ode to what was cool...now, we have no idea what is a hit, what isn't...radio?...XM, I suppose...Sirius (ly)....yes, we wallow in the past music of tunes...that were catchy, the songs had words, and were fun...of course, the Horse has double meaning to the blog title 'The Hits'...

I am referring to the mighty Friars, who unloaded again on the DBacks...some taters that were vastly appreciated...even from the bottom of the lineup...same for the bloody Bums, who have won 2 against the Damn Yankees in...NY!...well, I never said we would catch LA...but keep up with them?...maybe...and in College baseball...both UO and OSU lost game 1 in their regionals...

The Belmont at Saratoga...weird, huh...my hoss, was up close the whole way...drifted in the stretch, yet did finish runner-up...and I got back most of my scratch...the longest shot in the field won...who'd a thunk...not moi...the Belmont, when at Elmont, was always hard to handicap...

For you forevers...ye shall never forget, when your guy, trump...refused to go to a cemetery...cuz, they were all 'losers'...ye should watch Prez B, honor those who GAVE their lives...for our freedom...over in Europe now...I think this is the last day...he is there...

The price to pay to get the hostages back...the count of dead from the Hamas...274...war is hell...I have steered away from the political comedian Bill Maher...for some time now...but, will give him credence on this statement...when asked 'how do you prevent a war with Israel '...'first of all, stop attacking Israel'...

The NBA playoffs finally get back into action...still in Beantown...hmmm, I did not comment on game 1...disastrous 'coaching' by the Mav's Jason Kidd...Boston kept bringing up whoever Luka was guarding...and they would switch...and left the oh so slow footed Doncic, on the ball...he repeatedly got whupped...ah, brain trust...DON'T SWITCH...figure the NBA trots out ref Scott Foster...no, just saw it is Tony Brothers, John Goble, and Bill Kennedy...Celts win...BUT, there is no way, Kyrie can be as bad as he was in the first game...

The PGA at the Memorial...well lookie here...Scotty Scheffler again...ahead by 4 going into the final round...he is nearing dominance, much like Tiger in his days...if he gets it done that would be 5 wins this season...

I read this...and couldn't believe it...for these two...JJ Reddick, and Shaq...had elongated careers in the NBA....yet, JJ had only ONE DUNK...and Shaq had only ONE 3 BALL made...

Shark attacks in Florida!...they are getting too close to the beach, kids...when we are there...I boogie board in the middle of all the people...a word to the rather bulbous trump...don't go near the water in Mara-Lago...wait, maybe you should try your luck...can you imagine Bozo on a boogie board?...

Well, it is hot everywhere but here...in south SoCal...high 60's...that's it...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
