A Bit Too Far


One of the problems, of adjusting one's diet...is the alteration that we make to some tried and tru favorites...one is the In'N'Out cheeseburger...it's been 2 months since we have had one...well, in fact any burger...yesterday, was going to be the breakage of that record...BUT, we were to get the 'Protein Cheeseburger'....the outer walls, were not the buns, but lettuce...you know, like what you get at many Chinese restaurants...'lettuce wraps'...it's not the same, kids...in fact, it is a disaster...messy, and just doesn't taste even remotely close to the bun wrapped...the Horse recommendation?...steer clear, and gobble up the extra carbs...

Now that I have you in a tizzy...there has been a nationwide recall on some of your favorite ice creams...listeria...man, I hate that...that makes one hit the potty too often...and really, can kill you...soooo...find the article, and see if you have any of the ice cream in your freezer...and dump 'em...listeria happens when whatever is not cooked enough...I joke it is ptomaine, when Boss heats up canned soup...not long enough for the Horse...

Which makes me take a 2nd look at all the food out at the Del Mar Fair, that we are going to, tomorrow...

The Todd Rundgren concert...my review...unbelievably odd...not even sure if I have ever seen the likes of it...decent band...the acoustics  had it hard to hear his voice thru the wall of sound...in that venue...the last time we were there, had no problem hearing Sara Evans...weird...he would kind of walk like prance, on stage, L to R...with no real input from the fans...?...guess he thought it would be cool...we did not know ONE song...were waiting for 'I Saw The Light', or 'Hello, It's Me'...nope...it was too much, and we hit the road, Jack...the bar for eats and drink, and the venue, was very good...the product was not...


Soooo...are you bracing for the 1st Prez debate?...another odd thing...the 2nd is not until September...so, one has to be good...yes, we are to tape the bloody thing...as we are going to be at the Fair...by ALL predictions, this will be the most watched debate...EVER...

Shocking...as the oft injured Friars...have 3 of their starters, on the IL...and are still producing...beating the Nat's, 9-7...Profar, who right now is on the All Star list, hit a grand slam...reminder, he hit the nite before walk off double...has been a huge mainstay in the lineup...

Today is the NBA draft...watch again, as I told you...for some key names from FRANCE...the new outlet for guys and gals hoops...really...for you forever Blazer fans...you have 2 picks in the 1st round...hope your GM does his job well...

Finishing for today...not sure if this is jealousy or not...but, seated in front of us...was all this hair...and yup, they are all guys...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
