Sanka in my Cup



How long ago was that?...'Sanka in my cup?'...the freeze dried version of coffee...without Googling it, what is your guess?...30 years?...you will not believe this...but it was the original decaffeinated coffee...and it started it up...101 years ago!...1923...and yup, go on Amazon, and you can still get it...how about that for putting beans in your bonnet...

The news while we were on hiatus, was led by the passing of the outstanding hoopster of my era...Bill Walton...a local guy here...and somewhat an activist...he helped bring joy to the Pacific Northwest, as he led the Portland Trailblazers to it's ONLY NBA title...he was seen often around San Diego...many times we were at the same concerts out at Humphreys...too sad....

Of course, the trump criminal trial goes on...now, it is in the hands of the jury...and as I have said often, who knows the fate there...I do think...that it will either be a conviction, or a hung jury...certainly not an acquittal...but, who knows...this is day 2 of deliberations...+ Bozo is besides himself...he has to be there...awaiting the verdict...as he keeps posting and posting...and posting...

I am tickled about the attention that the W is getting for it's hoops...did watch Sabrina and her crew (New York Liberty) eek out a win last eve vs Phoenix...who by the way, is coached by an old PDX assistant...the gals play at a real fast pace...Sabrina Ionescu, is a former Duck...

Scottie Scheffler had his police thing thrown out...the video of it was the difference, I assume...what was there more to go by?...a cop's accusation that was false?...

The Friars are on the road...in Kansas City...ah, Bozo, that is in Mizzou...playing against another ol Padre...one of my favs, Hunter Renfroe...but, really, GM AJ trades so many players away...they are all over the teams in the MLB...he thinks it is a video game...he often forgets these are real people he is thrashing about...he's a bird dog...

Bird dog?...listen, one of my very first groups I heard on my self made crystal radio, was the Everly Brothers...'All I Have Too Do Is Dream'...'Cathy's Clown'...'Walk Right Back'...amongst many others...AJ is still a bird dog...

Seriously, when the mayor stations...ah, TV...interrupt what is being shown...'BREAKING NEWS'...what are you thinking it is?...are you a bit hopeful of something?...c'mon now...

Today, well, this morning...we have a video chat with the Diabetes Dr...telling us what we can and can not eat...we have been faithfully doing the low carb, no sugar thing for like...what is it now, 6 weeks...Boss is getting bored with it...I am curious as to what we are doing wrong...hopefully, there are more hints to get food that we can enjoy...we must eat...

In the trump criminal trial...the jury asked for the instructions to be read...again...so, donny, and the jury are back in court...he has closed his eyes...acc to MTG, he does this as he is praying...while he snores and farts...OK...in many other states, each juror has the instructions in hand...not in NY...odd...why not?...

The trip to Indio was fun fun fun...perhaps, a bit too much of the bubbly...102* and it was dry...the time spent in the pool was grand...them Morrisses are great hosts...we know our limits on being smelly, thus, 2 nites and we skedaddled...

These people...who give grief to SCOTUS...for the lack of controlling their wives...the guys, now, I am talking...do you know the Boss?...I totally understand their dilemma...yes, dear, fly what you want, however you want...just don't let your freak flag fly....

OK, kids...our fridge is bare...beyond belief...we are holding out until the DR talk...and then go to the super to get the goods...this cat, well both of us, are downright HUNGRY!...3 cups of Joe just doesn't cut it...the Horse is cranky...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
