Music Appreciation Eve

Good morning, kids...overcast here in the Marina...but that's OK...could be worse...as we prep for our trip to the desert...where it will NOT be overcast...like something around 100*!...but, I hear, it is a very dry heat...

The evening was set up to be 'Music Appreciation'...as we were to hear my 3 albums I have purchased in the past month...sealed and just itching to be broken into...alas, a problem first...my SONOS app had been upgraded...yea, so I couldn't find the 'PHONO' line anywhere...as per many of the hookups nowadays, things can get quite complicated...after purnt near an hour of frustrations...I was about to give up...and then 'VOILA', one more thought...and that was it...found the line in and we were good...

The 3 albums are the Beyonce Cowboy one, the Wings Over America live one, and the first Eagles, On The Border...OK, some of you may be real Beyonce fans, but man, she is not a very good singer...very weak voice...not sure why she is so highly acclaimed...Paul McCartney is fun...just true fun...but, it is a far cry from the Beatles...and finally, the Eagles...that album is great...every single track...as I texted Snooki, the most underrated song of all of theirs...'My Man'...Bernie Leadon the writer, and lead singer...all in all, a very entertaining nite...

Did not watch any of the Friars loss to the Damn Yankees...who are an 'A' team, and we are a 'C' team...so, no surprise...we were listening to the tunes...

Listen, Bozo, you have to pick your poison...and you did...last eve...you went to speak to the Libertarians...they don't like you...in fact, they hate you...face it, donny, it is that way for most of the USA...with the exception of your planted forever revivals...I'll give you something to remind yourself of the nite...BBBBBOOOOOOOOOOOO!....

The PGA world was put in shock...as one of it's members...suddenly died at the tender age of 30...Grayson Murray...no reason as to how, yet...or why...

Gotta brag...down 12...keep chugging along...

The W...it is just weird...as some teams have played like 7 games already...and some only 3...what?...jr high has better organization than that...

The Sagehens move on to Cleveland for the World Series of D111...this is fantastic!...these are non scholarship lads playing the game they love...ah, very smart ones, too...

Hamas firing missiles into Israel...is it time for pro-Israel protests all over the college campuses?...

I will never ever understand suicide...life is too short, as is...

Thinking back to when we saw the Eagles...well, the present version...and they did not sing 2 that I wish they had...'James Dean' and another of our faves, 'Ol 55'....

Good morning all, from the great state of Oregon...this whole trip is about FRIENDS!...meeting up with peops we have been with over our years in the PNW...and for Boss's reunion....the opening act was a combo party of the two at this pad, a bar, called Johnny's...simply said, it was fun... The stories were there, the faces remained the same...and it tickled moi, that so many FRIENDS showed up...unfortunately, I did not get enough time to talk to all, please forgive me...when you go back some 60 years, my memory does fade a tad...well, and so does their's...ha ha...believe me, it was worth the trip... Boss was one of the belles of the ball...yes, she still looks great...you know that....well, the rest of her class did not know that, until last eve...she was flitting (flirting) about so...which made me smile...and that is only the beginning of it...the REAL reunion is tonight...one of my FRIENDS reminded me that is the gals reunion...which I think is most reunions...it is for...

When the thesaurus ran it's new version...it highlighted the word 'oration'...and there it was ... President Barack Obama...and then there is more..... see...Michelle Obama ...these two have the fundamental prowess of giving speeches...at the right time...at the right place... No better example of this, than last night at the DNC...each were marvelous...of course ...it's what people, special people, like these two...do...carry a message across the Nation...that we all can not only understand, but agree with... For seemingly years, the Horse has said...that if Michelle O wanted to be in the White House, AGAIN...this time as the President, and not the wife...she could ...however, for right now...she is supporting the right choice...for this time of the history of our country.... Tonight, we hear another exceptional orator...President Bill Clinton ...it's almost like taking a class in college...Speech 101...BTW, I was turrible at it...just in case you were wondering......
