Back Home


Nothing like, coming back home...ah, to the home...it's great to go fishing...like see other areas...and folk...but, nothing like being home...right?...as we stretch out and relax...Boss did part of the driving, which really helps...anyhoo, here we are...

Too bad we did not see the starters in Phoenix...it's the gamble of going....like doing the same at a NBA game...except, that could be any regular season game...not in the MLB...it's not like they are paid millions of bucks...well, yet it is...play the games, you rich snobs...

College hoops are at a very interesting spot...regardless of parity, and the occasional upsets...the notion of 'storming the court' has become more of an issue...the fans are delirious...so, the AD's have made a strong commitment to NOT allowing the rush to the court...after a win...BUT, it is the newly done thing that gets me...taunting, after the visiting team wins...just like UNC did at Cameron Field house at Duke...the Tar Heels won, now get off the court...a bit of a double standard, right?...wrecked a fine game...BTW, they are just a bit better...

So trump came up with bond money for one of his cases...$81 million clams...he doesn't have that, but hornswoggled an insurance company to fund his arse...Chubb...yup, one of the major backers of the company?...Russia...wake up, you beloved forevers, you are following a wrong path to AMERICAN values...Chubb for chubby...now, he has to find $450 million more...

Did you set your clocks forward?...the auto ones, yes...but, the hand done ones, no...my goal for the day...as well as the Monster Sudoku...

Leaving Yuma, we did a dumb thang...assuming we would see another portal...we took off on Hwy 8...with a quarter tank of petrol...realized there ain't nothing ahead...turned around and went back...turned out...smart...as Yuma is on the border...and the prices are much cheaper in Arizona...tanked up and fed up...a good thing to remember, kids...save yourself for the DBack state for the gasoline...much much cheaper...

Recall, one of the thangs I was going to do, was hunt for some turquoise...Pam (bro Jim's spouse) did the navigating...and found this bodacious store for the stone (via the webnet)...egads, it led us to a housing complex...and in one of the sites, was a condo filled with said treasures...who'd a thunk...we thought it may be a hoax...not so, as Boss got some earrings and the Horse got a beautiful ring...worth the excursion...

Downtown Tucson was disappointing...old and not regenerated...too bad...but, Yuma's...was way cool...and well attended...it is where we got some fine Yuma pizza...met some dude, who was by way of Oregon...just bought a place in Madras...and was speculating doing the same down in Yuma...the area has grown, kids...not sure what his schtick was, but he has been sniffing around Tucson, too...he had to be OK, as he ordered an 805 Beer...

The Oscars tonight...this is the one that I do watch...and get this, it starts at 4 pm...our time...don't get me wrong, I rarely agree with the winners...most I have not seen...but, I do like the pomp and circumstance...and please please please...someone give it to trump...ha ha...and I don't mean an award...

Finally, nostalgia...one of the icebreaking tunes for my generation...'The Locomotion' by Little Eva...I can still recall the YW dance that this gal from Cali danced right in front of us...she was rad...the song, was written by Carole King and Gerry Goffin...and the singer, Eva Narcissus Boyd, was their baby sitter...covered later by others, but this one...by her, was the grooviest...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
