Mud Slide Slim

The lyrics have little to do with what the SoCal coastline may have to deal with...MUD SLIDES...as the 2nd wave of this rain and wind event hits us this ENTIRE WEEK!...a slow moving storm, packed with lots of moisture...the bulk of this is hitting north of Diego, as of now...Dr Cris has been manning his office  (Montecito) like 24 hours...sand bags, sump pumps, and labor...down here, we are expecting the golf course to get drenched...and the likes of moi, well now, there are not very many of them, stay in their high rises above all the RAIN...

'Mud Slide Slim' is one of those rare James Taylor songs, that never ever gets played on the airwaves...thing is, it is a catchy, groovy, rad, hip tune...I can still recall, back in my heydays, walking into the 'Tool Crib'...this song was playing...and the way the bar was set up, you could see everyone, once upon entering...this time, everyone's head was bobbing up and down to it...never forget...dude, it was boss...

Right now, we have loads of SUNSHINE here in the am...bright cheery day...shadows everywhere...sunlight bouncing off of all the surrounding buildings...it is marvelous...especially knowing, this too shall pass...

50 years ago today...the weirdest thing happened...remember this?...Patty Hearst was abducted...and then, the long chase to recover her...her possible allegiance to her captors, the Symbionese Liberation Army...she was 19 at the time and the picture of her, 'aiding' a bank robbery, was THE NEWS of the month...right?...weird times, I tell ya...geez, about the time of 'Mud Slime Slim'...

Tonight, the Grammy Awards...oh my...this is the time, that the Horse admits to being 'out of it'...don't know most of the nominees, don't know any of the songs, and JCC...and I don't care...

The US is still attacking...now in Yemen...the Houthis...as they say they are going to retaliate, too...there you go...who came up with these drones, anyway?...mini-missiles...

trump...had his image, superimposed with Elvis...half and half...it was funny, that's why he did it right?...to be funny...hilarious...he should have done that with his butler, Lindsey Graham...now, that would be funnier...

Some hoops talk...watched some games last nite...North Carolina better coached than Duke...fact...more O movement...the Lakers beat the over-hyped Knicks in Madison Square Garden...and Curry put up 60, in an OT loss in Hotlanta...these are the games I saw...

Pebble Beach T...Wyndham Clark shot a 60!...narrowly missing a 59, as his putt laid on the lip...on #18...he is a Duck, kids...and a high school chum of this lesser known athlete...in Colorado...some dude named Christian McCaffrey...a football player...you heard of him?...

How about that, back to back stories about 60's...unintentional...
