Mesmerizing?...no...but, interesting?...yes...the final 2, well, outta 3...republicans left in the race for their side of the ticket...as Nikki Haley and DeSantis of Florida (DF)...had a semi-rocking debate last nite at Drake U in Iowa...this after, earlier in the day, Chris Christie dropped out...did anyone say anything about Hoot?...I guess he succumbed earlier...I said outta 3, as donny refused to show...had his own FOX 'town hall' elsewhere...JCC...did I get that all right?...anyhoo, there was nothing that would discourage me from keeping with my prediction, that Nikki will be the one...eventually...watch New Hampshire REAL closely, kids...the beginning of the demise of trump...ha ha...well, he has been demising for some time now...there will be some more evidence of that in his trial today....another part of his freefall...Google wants that as two words...this Iowa caucus is set for next week...and the real show begins...

Oh my...the amount of quality coaching spots has opened up...the biggest surprise and plum of them all?...Nick Saban is stepping down at 'Bama!!!...now each and every school is sweating up a storm...as their pride and joy present coach, is being mentioned as his predecessor at Alabama...think Eugene isn't in a tizzy?...Lanning is a prize and a sure up and comer...the hot rumor...is that Dan Lanning is indeed in Tuscaloosa...and that the Alabama AD, Greg Byrne, will announce who is the new HC within 72 hours...do you Ducks have a dance that may sway the man, back to Eugene?...

Not sure following Saban is a sound move...nowhere to go...but...down...

In the NFL, the announcement of the Seattle's Pete Carroll getting fired was a big shock and disappointment at the same time...and early this am, New England let Bill Bellychick go after 24 seasons...these owners are so full of it...I bet they are all forevers...you will NOT find better coaches than those 2...nope...no way...however, it is the owner's money and he can do what he wants...I think that Green Bay has the right system...stock owners...

Late breaking...the judge who is overseeing the trump civil fraud trial...a bomb threat was made on his house this morning...Judge Arthur Engoron...just hours before closing arguments...MAGA...or make it worse than when he was president...SWATTING?...

Now now, boys...there is these sports pundit guys...that are seething with anger towards one another...and are putting it into words and vid...Stephen A Smith and Jason Whitlock...ripping each other a new one...getting mighty personal and for doggones sake...must be listening to the crap that trump puts out on his forever misnomer 'truth social'...name calling and derogatory mishmash...I'd like to say, that they are better than that...but, I dunno...

Speaking of sports...with the dwindling local newspapers throughout the country...the daily read on the local sports is GONE...DEAD...unless, you have one that comes a day late...already OLD news...TG for our local Trib...well, kinda local...but we do have lots of info on the high schools and colleges and universities...do you?...perhaps, you have a blogger that can stay on top of things...which might be your only salvation...

What is happening in Ecuador?...the 36 yr old Prez, has stated that 'we are in a state of war!'...hmmm...with 22 different gangs...drugs?...probably...so where do the people go for safety?...outta the country and head where?...yes, you are probably right...

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
