You GET in the Mood

I did spin the vinyls yesterday...about 8 of them...Christmas and the sounds of...something about the nostalgia of the record...the needle and all...the jackets that you can actually read all about the songs and artist within...it is missing now...people don't even buy CD's...just stream the music onto their PC's...which is fine, but not what it used to be...and the info has been lost along the way...

There was one very clear winner in the 1st day of pure listening...Connie Francis...many of you might not know who she is...still living, mind you...but not touring...those days are over for her...but her crying out loud voice, lives on for eternity...her pop sounds were HUGE in the 50's...and this Christmas LP, was a gift for us...if you can, find it...it is splendid...

The GALA at the home was last eve...kinda cool...we stayed for the happy hour...they had a band playing...that was mellow rock...very talented singer...the home folks were dressed in their finest...then, we bolted for a planned dinner at our fav spot...Eddie V's...the night was perfect...the food awesome...the service, was by one of our regular waitresses...she came over to talk and took us out of another's hands...we were treated with special champagne and a dessert...yea, there are perks for being semi-regulars...

Up the coastline, the kids took their kids (OUR grandkids) to see Santa, again...so funny, as the results were the same...Cyrus was an angel and Caspian, well, he does not like Santa...I am sure in due time, he will pay to have the pictures destroyed...

The T that always gets me in golf...the pro and pickney one...so many PGA and LPGA (now) players enter in...fun to watch the kids interact with their pop and mom...it's on this weekend...seems like most of the telecast is on Tiger and his son, Charlie...people love Tiger...there are others just as fun...it's all good, and the Kuchars are in command after day 1...NBC is carrying it...the ONLY problem, is that there is stormy weather in Florida right now...

Not sure how this sits with everyone...but, you have people waving white flags, or something in white...and you shoot anyway?...as these were 3 hostages...how can this happen?...Israel, you have some serious explaining to do...as I said the past week...enuff is enough...

NBA...the Pistons have now lost 23 in a row...most are not even close...egads...and the Clip Joint have won 7 in a row...as they are different with the Beard there...really, I did NOT see this working...it is...and I am gonna shut my mouth...I know nuttin'...

The Friars...for all the notoriety that GM AJ Preller gets...an, not from me, mind you...the team is being dismantled right before our eyes...thus far, I see NO major additions, just deletions...you still want that season ticket?...not me...

USC has been hiring 'star' coaches to fill up their D...thing is folks, it is the players...don't care how smart and cagey you are, if you don't have the goods, the package is near empty...
